Bon Jovi supports Prince Harry and Meghan’s mission for privacy

Jon Bon Jovi has sympathised with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over their desire for more privacy.

The Rockstar, 57, performed a duet with Prince Harry at world-famous Abbey Road Studios in London on Friday for a new charity single – in one of the prince's last appearances as a senior Royal before he and the Duchess step down.

After Jon and Harry recorded the song – which is in aid of the Invictus Games Foundation – Bon Jovi spoke of his "immense respect" for the royal family and said he understood why the the couple wanted to step back from public life and have more privacy.

He told Hello! : "I can understand completely, sure. I can't really comment, I'm not really here. We see it on the news. It's very different when you see soldiers at war on the news.

"People change the channel and then their minds aren't on them. When we see things like what Harry and Meghan have gone through, we turn the channel off and things are over with. You don’t know what it's like to walk in anyone else's shoes.

"I don’t know what it's like to walk in his shoes and as an American I’m further removed, but [we have] immense respect for the family and for his brother and himself, his wife, his father, his grandmother, his grandfather.

"We have much respect for them in America. That’s all I can comment on. I don't know what it's like to walk in his shoes."

The Duke of Sussex help record a new version of Jon's hit single Unbroken, which will be released to raise money for the Invictus Foundation.

Members of the Invictus Games Choir are also on the track.

Harry and wife Meghan Markle will quit the Royal Family on March 31.

The Duchess is still in Canada with the couple's son Archie, but is expected to fly to London in the next few days ready for her own final engagements next week.

Meghan – who hasn't attended any official engagements since November last year – will join Harry at the Endeavour Fund Awards on Thursday.

Jon added that he had originally written Unbroken for a documentary about soldiers with PTSD, before asking Harry last August to suggest giving it to the Invictus Games Choir.

Ronnie Magro: Charges DROPPED In Jen Harley Domestic Violence Case!

The past two years have seen a lot of ups and downs for Ronnie Magro.

And while all that turmoil might be good for Jersey Shore ratings, we imagine it’s beginning to take a toll on Ronnie’s psyche.

Most of the drama, of course, has had to do with Magro’s tempestuous relationship with Jen Harley.

At first, Shore fans were primarily on Ronnie’s side, as Jen seemed to be the primary aggressor.

You might recall the 2018 incident in which Harley dragged Magro with her car during an altercation in a parking lot.

Despite that fight and several other violent incidents, the parents of 1-year-old Ariana remained together.

That is, until October of last year, when Ronnie was tased and arrested after allegedly assaulting Harley inside a Los Angeles rental property.

In the aftermath of that incident, Harley pressed charges and got a restraining order against Magro.

Ronnie still might be facing major legal repercussions for his actions, but it seems he got a major legal break this week when two of the more serious charges against him were dropped.

According to a new report from Radar Online, prosecutors in Magro’s case have agreed to drop charges of brandishing a firearm or deadly weapon and making criminal threats.

“The facts and circumstances relating to the arrest and charging of Ronnie were exaggerated and actually incorrect,” Ronnie’s attorney, Scott Leemon told the site.

“The City’s Attorney agreed with us and dismissed 2 of the pending charges against Ronnie,” he added.

“They agreed that these allegations were baseless and made up. We are hoping further investigation will yield similar results.”

Of course, it’s a little early for Ronnie and his legal team to start celebrating.

He’s still facing prison time in connection with charges of corporal injury to a spouse or intimate partner, willful child endangerment, false imprisonment, and two counts of resisting arrest.

Both Ronnie and Jen wisely decided not to comment on the pending case in recent weeks.

Fortunately, if there Instagram posts are any indication, it appears that Magro and Harley are still broken up.

Let’s hope the split is permanent this time.

Per Us Weekly, Andi confirmed that she and Tyler are just friends during an Instagram Q&A, saying “I tried, he wasn’t having it. Just kidding!!! But no, we are just friends. I love him, he is literally one of my favorite humans and we have a good banter where we give each other a hard time but are also supportive of one another without any judgments. Plus, he and @mattjames919 are always putting a smile on my face and making me laugh so hard that I’ve gotten a 6-pack since meeting them.”

Meanwhile, Tyler also shut own the rumors while talking to Page Six, saying “Andi has been a great person for me to reach out to when going through this whole experience because she’s been through it on both ends as the lead and as a contestant, but there’s nothing romantic between us.”

Why U2's Bono Wasn't Supportive Of His Son Being In A Band

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as the saying goes. In the case of U2’s Bono and his son, Elijah Hewson, it certainly is true.

Hewson is lead singer for the band, Inhaler, and he revealed recently that his dad wasn’t all that keen on him following in his footsteps.

Here’s what the 20-year-old musician had to say.

Elijah Hewson’s band Inhaler

Dublin-based Inhaler is made up of Josh Jenkinson on guitar, Rob Keating on bass, Ryan McMahon on drums, and Elijah Hewson singing lead.

They got their interesting name from, what else?, Hewson’s asthma inhaler. The band told Rolling Stone last month about it and their humble beginnings. “Everybody saw the band as quite nerdy and geeky and we thought it was cool,” Hewson said. “I had asthma for a while and people just kind of started calling us the Inhalers. It was something that stuck. It felt right.”

“To be in a band in school is not as cool as it sounds. Not in our school, anyway,” bassist Keating said in the interview. “People gave us weird looks. We dressed weird, listened to weird music. Who were we kidding? We weren’t ready to be in a band until we grew up and learned how to play our instruments.”

Elton John loves Inhaler

One of Inhaler’s celebrity fans is Elton John, who thinks the world of the band. The 72-year-old John told GQ last year about his summer catching up with old friends, including Bono. During his conversation, he shared his thoughts on Inhaler.

“I reconnected with (The Who’s) Pete Townshend, who I hadn’t seen for years, and that was lovely, and (R.E.M.’s) Michael Stipe, who always comes here every year, and we’ve seen Bono and The Edge. Bono’s son is in a band called Inhaler from Dublin and they’re f**king amazing. And his son said, ‘Please don’t tell the record company you’re my dad.’ “

Why Bono was hesitant about his son’s music career

Elijah Hewson spoke this week to GQ about his father – the U2 singer’s initial reluctance to endorse his son’s entering a musical career, as well as his ultimate acceptance and invaluable support.

“At the beginning they weren’t really [supportive],” he says. “I mean, they wanted me to go to college, you know, like all of our parents. I think they just kind of saw that I loved it and that we were good.”

“I think that was the main thing. I think if we weren’t good, they would have instantly told us to give it up and go to school. They’ve been supportive now, they really have.”

Growing up around U2, Hewson says, “It was just completely separate to family life for me. It was kind of just a strange spectacle, but it is all I’ve ever known. It felt normal. I think now, experiencing a band through this way is very, very interesting for me. And it’s a lot more fun.”

Zooey Deschanel Performs ‘Property Brothers’ Musical for Jonathan Scott

Where love began! Zooey Deschanel put on an adorable Property Brothers musical performance when she first met boyfriend Jonathan Scott.

Deschanel, 40, and Scott, 41, were joined by the actress’ big sister, Emily Deschanel, and the homemaker’s twin brother, Drew Scott, during a new episode of AppleTV’s Carpool Karaoke: The Series that was filmed late last year. In the sneak peek, the group bond over music and perform a Christmas rendition of Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” which they blend with “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”

The one-minute clip also features a moment where the group compare their shared experiences of growing up with siblings, which led them to cover K-Ci & JoJo’s hit “All My Life.” The New Girl alum was in the driver’s seat, while Jonathan was seated beside her in the passenger’s seat.

Zooey Deschanel Performs ‘Property Brothers’ Musical for BF Jonathan Scott

Toward the preview’s end, the 500 Days of Summer star and 43-year-old Bones alum team up to put on a Property Brothers-inspired musical. The sister duo put their best foot forward, even getting in costume for their performance. “If I buy it you can fix it / If I fix it you can list it / We’re brothers in property,” the sisters sing.

In response to the quirky song, Jonathan asks, “What is happening here?” Drew, in turn, adds, “I don’t know, but it’s amazing!”

This past September, a source told Us Weekly exclusively what exactly allowed the couple to bond during their Carpool Karaoke interaction. “Jonathan and Zooey had instant chemistry when they met on set,” the insider said at the time. “They’ve bonded over their love of music, film, theatre — and Christmas carols.”

The source revealed that Zooey and Jonathan “have a similar sense of humor” and “became friends and started texting and talking on the phone and it blossomed from there.”

Zooey and Jonathan’s relationship even scored the stamp of approval from Drew, who told Us that month, “[They’re] both amazing people, and I think it’s great. It’s exciting. And it means I get to get Jon out here to spend more time with us in L.A.”

Earlier that September, multiple sources confirmed to Us that Zooey had begun dating the HGTV vet. The romance news came weeks after Us confirmed that the Failure to Launch actress was ending her four-year marriage to Jacob Pechenik.

“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners,” the estranged pair, who share daughter Elsie Otter, 4, and son Charlie Wolf, 2, told Us in a joint statement. “We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children.”

Pechenik, 47, officially filed for divorce in October 2019.

Normani Addresses Camila Cabello's Past Racist Comments: "It Was Devastating"

Image Source: Getty / Jean Baptiste Lacroix / Monica Schipper

Normani is speaking out for the first time about her former Fifth Harmony groupmate Camila Cabello’s old racist Tumblr posts and tweets. The 23-year-old singer personally sent a statement to Rolling Stone on Friday, telling the publication that she wanted to “be very clear about what I’m going to say on this uncomfortable subject and figured it would be best to write out my thoughts to avoid being misconstrued, as I have been in the past.”

Normani began by saying that Camila’s comments were hurtful because of how close they used to be and her own experience with racism. “I struggled with talking about this because I didn’t want it to be a part of my narrative, but I am a black woman, who is a part of an entire generation that has a similar story,” she began. “I face senseless attacks daily, as does the rest of my community. This represents a day in the life for us. I have been tolerating discrimination far before I could even comprehend what exactly was happening. Direct and subliminal hatred has been geared towards me for many years solely because of the color of my skin. It would be dishonest if I said that this particular scenario didn’t hurt me. It was devastating that this came from a place that was supposed to be a safe haven and a sisterhood, because I knew that if the tables were turned I would defend each of them in a single heartbeat. It took days for her to acknowledge what I was dealing with online and then years for her to take responsibility for the offensive tweets that recently resurfaced. Whether or not it was her intention, this made me feel like I was second to the relationship that she had with her fans.”

Camila’s racist posts resurfaced this past December, including screenshots that showed her using the N-word and black stereotypes. The blog also showed how the language influenced a lot of the hatred Normani used to receive while she was in Fifth Harmony. The 22-year-old “Havana” singer later issued a public apology on social media, saying she was “sorry from the bottom of my heart” and that she has since “grown and learned” from her mistakes.

In her email, Normani wrote that she really hopes “an important lesson was learned in this.” “I don’t want to say that this situation leaves me hopeless because I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity for personal growth,” she continued. “I hope there is genuine understanding about why this was absolutely unacceptable. I have spoken what is in my heart and pray this is transparent enough that I never have to speak on it again. To my brown men and women, we are like no other. Our power lies within our culture. We are descendants of an endless line of strong and resilient kings and queens. We have been and will continue to win in all that we do simply because of who we are. We deserve to be celebrated, I deserve to be celebrated and I’m just getting started.”

Here Is Every Show Available on Apple TV+ Right Now

To compete with the myriad of other streaming services now elbowing their way into once exclusively-theatrical award shows, gobbling up traditional screen actors, and hitting your credit card for upwards of $16 a month (remember when Netflix was $7.99?), Apple stepped into the original television content game last November. It’s called Apple TV+. It costs only $4.99 a month and you can get a 7-day free trial. Sounds like a deal.

But Apple’s low cost isn’t just a sly form of industry competitiveness. The streaming service, now in its infancy, has only a dozen or so original series. It also won’t give you access to hundreds of licensed shows and movies like Netflix. Netflix has been building steam since its early DVD renting days (that’s a circular disk that you put into a box by your non-wi-fi television). The company was founded in 1997. Let that sink in.

Apple TV + is only a few months old, but it’s hoping to pump out the kind of Emmy-caliber original series Netflix and Amazon took years to produce. Apple’s first big push with See (starring Jason Momoa) reportedly cost $15 million per episode. (It took HBO’s Game of Thrones almost eight seasons to reach such a budget, and even Netflix’s bloated Marco Polo cost–only–$9 million per episode.)

Of course, Apple TV + is only growing, and there’s close to 20 shows currently in development. By the time the streaming service turns 1, they’ll be plenty of hours of content to get through. And maybe that $5 price tag goes away.

Until then, here’s every show currently on Apple TV+. Five bucks may just be worth it.

Shows Currently on Apple TV +

The Morning Show

Part dramedy about news shows, part social satire about post-#MeToo culture. One hundred percent fake real news. It’s Jennifer Aniston’s first TV role since you-know-what, and she’s joined by a group that lacks any slouches: Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, and a wondefully-hammy Billy Crudup.

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet

Always Sunny‘s Rob McElhenney stars in and produces this workplace comedy about video game development. A lot of familiar Sunny faces show up, particularly David Hornsby (Rickety Cricket), but everyone on the show is doing different things. This show is a blast, but in all sorts of ways that differ from Sunny.

Jason Momoa, leader of a blind tribe, members of a blind Earth, adopts some twins who can … wait for it … see.

A historical comedy drama biography about Emily Dickinson. We assume she speaks in lots of semicolons. Hailee Steinfeld stars, and is joined by guests such as Wiz Khalifa, who plays Death. You read that right.

Executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Servant is Apple’s first entry into the horror series genre.

Truth Be Told

It’s a miniseries based on the novel by Kathleen Barber. It also stars Octavia Spencer. That should be reason enough to watch.

Little America

Kumail Nanjiani produces this anthology series about immigrant stories in America.

For All Mankind

An alternate history timeline that actually doesn’t involve Nazis (it involves communists), For All Mankind asks what would have happened if the Soviet Union had won the space race. Altered Carbon star Joel Kinnaman stars.

Snoopy in Space

Or what if Snoopy and Woodstock won the space race?

An absolutely adorable TV series, Helpsters is the show you can watch with the kids before turning to See when they go to bed. New idea: blind puppet tribes who murder each other after the apocalypse. Best of both worlds.

A reboot of the already good PBS series. We know how these tend to go …

Oprah’s Book Club

Same Oprah. Same book club. Now streaming.

Shows We’re Excited For

Amazing Stories (March 6)

Steven Spielberg is helping reboot his own 1985 anthology series, and we’re here for it.

Defending Jacob (April 24)

Chris Evans stars in this upcoming miniseries about a father facing accusations after the murder of his 14-year-old child.

Masters of the Air

Jason Merritt/TERMGetty Images

We’re holding our breath, but it seems as if Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and writer John Orloff are at work on a series about WWII bomber pilots. If those names sound familiar, that’s because they represent the team behind HBO’s Band of Brothers and The Pacific. Please be good, please be good, please be good.

Time Bandits

Steve GranitzGetty Images

An adaptation of Terry Gilliam’s 1981 adventure movie, Time Bandits will be directed by Taika Waititi. You had us at “Taika.” Shut up and take our money.

A young wolf hunter comes to Ireland to kill the last of an evil and demonic species. From the writers and animators behind Song of the Sea, The Secret of Kells, and The Breadwinner. Yeah, this is gonna be an awesome animated series.

Patrick Stewart: Star Trek legend on ‘ridiculous’ disagreement with wife about his anatomy

Sir Patrick Stewart, 79, tied the knot with his third wife Sunny Ozell, 41, in 2013. The legendary actor has since revealed the details over a disagreement he had with his partner over whether or not he had been circumcised.

The Star Trek actor was adamant that he’d had the procedure done and went to visit a GP for a second opinion, but was surprised to learn he hadn’t been circumcised.

Speaking on the Graham Norton Show in 2017, Sir Patrick revealed his wife had been correct all along.

He explained: “One night with my wife… I mentioned my circumcision and she said, ‘You’re not circumcised’.

“I said, ‘What do you mean? That’s ridiculous. I should know. All my life my mother has told me it was fashionable at the time’.”

  • Picard: Jeri Ryan on her struggle to reconnect with Seven of Nine

Sir Patrick, who plays Professor X in the X-Men films, said he was seeing his GP the next day for a check-up.

He said: “While he was down there I said, ‘By the way, my wife and I have had a little disagreement. I am circumcised, aren’t I?’

“He took a closer look and said, ‘Not! I am Jewish, and definitely know the difference!’”

Upon realising he had maybe revealed too much on the popular chat show, Patrick exclaimed: “Oh no, my grandchildren will be watching this!”

Meanwhile, the three-time married actor opened up about the first time he met Sunny, and hinted there may have been an “ulterior motive”.

Speaking on Loose Women, Ruth Langsford quizzed the couple on their love story, which she said was like a “scene from a movie”.

“It’s probably less of a romantic movie and more like The Walking Dead,” Sir Patrick chuckled.

Janet Street-Porter quizzed: “When you gave her your phone number, how did you rate your chances of success?”

Rachel Riley: Countdown star returns to work with baby Mave and Pasha[PICTURES]

He replied: “It was the only time in my life that I’ve ever done that. It was all kind of a business arrangement.”

At the time, the Jean-Luc Picard actor had been starring in the stage play Macbeth.

As Sir Patrick turned to Sunny, he said: “She wanted to see our production of Macbeth in Brooklyn but it was sold out. But we were transferring to Broadway, so I said, ‘Well, if the seats are there, here’s my number and give me a call.’

“Was there an ulterior motive? I will leave it for you to decide.”

  • Rachel Riley & Pasha Kovalev take baby daughter to first football game

The couple first met in 2008 at Franny’s restaurant in New York.

At the time, Sunny was working as a waitress while Patrick was starring in Macbeth at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music.

The pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony next to Lake Tahoe in Nevada five years later and the wedding was officiated by actor Ian Mckellen.

Sir Patrick was married to his first wife Sheila Falconer or over two decades but they divorced in 1990.

He was also previously married to Star Trek producer Wendy Neuss for three years but the pair separated in 2003.
