'Counting On': Derick Dillard Claims He and Jill Duggar Were Not Given Choices While They Were on the Show

Derick Dillard ended 2019 by spillingDuggar family tea on Instagram and Twitter. Now, with the world enveloped incollective Coronavirus fear, he’s sharing more insight about the famous realityTV family via an interview. Derick made the decision to discuss life with theDuggars on a YouTubechannel, and it looks like he just admitted that the Duggar kids aren’t givenan option when it comes to filming. The admission didn’t surprise many, but thefact that someone is finally speaking out against Jim Bob Duggar and the mediamachine he’s built has been a bit of a shock.

Derick reports that they didn’t have options while on CountingOn

Derick sat down to take questions from Without aCrystal Ball. During the course of the interview, Derick noted that he andhis wife, Jill Duggar, were left with very few options during their time on theseries. He said that he and Jill didn’t have a choice when it came to when toannounce their engagement, pregnancies, or the birth of their children. Fromthe sounds of it, the duo weren’t even offered options regarding how their significantmilestones would be announced.

Derick had previously suggested that he and his wife wantedto walk away from filming months before they actually departed the series, butwere coerced into continuing to film. He claims that they were threatenedwith a lawsuit if they walked away from the series. They later departedfilming after Derick made derogatory comments about Jazz Jennings, the transgenderteen who stars on another TLC show, I am Jazz.

Were Derick andJill really fired?

After Derick took aimat JazzJennings on Twitter, TLC released a statement claiming they would no longerbe filming the Dillards. The couple’s second birth special didn’t air, and theywere removed from promotional material for the series. That seemed to be theend of the story, but Derick wasn’t interested in staying quiet.

The law studenttook to Twitter last year to inform fans that he and his wife were never firedfrom Counting On because they were, technically, neveremployed by the production company behind the series. Derick claims that he andhis wife believed they were volunteering for filming and that they were neverpaid for their time. Derick later suggested that the only person who was receivingpayment for the series was Jim Bob. He went on to accuse the family patriarchof lying about monetarycompensation for the series.

Will Derick sharemore information about his famous in-laws?

Fans are interestedin hearing more from Derick, but it doesn’t seem like another interview is inthe cards, at least not right now. The father of two, however, doesn’t appearto be done talking about his famous in-laws. The law student is apparently inthe process of writinga book, although it looks like it’s going to take a while to finish up.Derick is drafting the memoir between law school semesters. While he’s beenopen about the process on Twitter, he has not mentioned any interestedpublishers just yet.

Derick also suggestedthat fans can keep up with his family on their blog. The family blog haslargely housed musings about daily life, and strangefood recipes from Jill. That doesn’t mean Derick can’t share some familytea, too, though. Followers will just need to wait and see what information helets slip.

Our family are at immense heartbreak to announce that Odin passed away early this morning. It’s difficult to put into words how this has impacted us as a family for Odin lead a life like no other dog. Odin was a family member first and we got him when he was a pup at 7 weeks old all we wanted were big dogs to take hiking and to sleep at our feet in the evening beside the fire, everything after that was a bonus. Odins passing marks the end of a decade and the end of an era as he taught our friends and family a lot of lessons about life for one dog he has more stories to tell than some people would. Odin has far too many achievements to announce in this post but just look at our social media pages over the past 5 years and see. We can all take great comfort in knowing that he is forever immortalised in the great TV Show Game of Thrones as Summer Bran Starks Direwolf Pup in Season 1 episode 1 . To everyone that was lucky enough to meet him and put a smile on your face please remember that moment. It’s an incredible piece of luck to have a pet you love so well become world famous and touch so many peoples hearts. He was always fond of the beach and his favourite treats which he had almost everyday before his passing. He was met with further illness as the week continued and the vets did everything they could to keep him going but he passed away in his sleep. We are incredibly grateful for the donations made towards Odin treatment and we will use what is needed to pay his vet bill and we will donate the rest between our favourite dog charities the donations will help further dogs in need at this tough time. If you have photos or videos or stories about Odin then please send them or share them with us. Please understand we will try reply to all your messages at this very difficult time in our lives.

RHONY Alum Jill Zarin Reveals She Used a Sperm Donor to Conceive Daughter Ally Shapiro

Jill Zarin made a major revelation on an episode of Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast this week.

The Real Housewives of New York City alum, 56, dropped the news that she and her ex-husband Steven Shapiro ran into fertility troubles when they were looking to expand their family all those years ago, so they ended up using a sperm donor to conceive their now 27-year-old daughter Ally Shapiro.

“We were going to take it to our grave, nobody knew,” Zarin said. “We had no plan to tell [Ally].”

“This was many many years ago … and in those days it was very early on in this whole sperm donor business. At the time people said, ‘You just don’t say anything. Do the insemination and then have sex and pretend that’s how you got pregnant then,’ ” Zarin recalled. “Because there was like a shame to it back then.”

Zarin explained that she and Steven tried to pick a sperm donor who would resemble him, but Ally ended up growing up to be shorter than her dad and with blue eyes, which he didn’t have.

After Zarin and Steven divorced, they both remarried and a relative allegedly tried to blackmail Zarin into telling the news — emailing all of Ally’s extended family by asking, “Why is Ally the fattest in the Shapiro family?” and “Why does Ally have blue eyes and no one else does?”

Worried the secret would upset Ally, Zarin and her ex agreed to tell their daughter the news after she graduated from college. But Ally ended up discovering the email on her own while snooping on her mom’s computer, confronting her parents for the truth.

“[My mom] said, ‘We were never going to tell you like this and we didn’t know when the right time was, but basically, your dad’s your dad, but you know that we had a difficult time having you, and we used a sperm donor,’ ” Ally remembered. “And I never in a million years would have thought that. Like, I had no inkling. Yeah, I had blue eyes and I’m shorter than everyone else, but never would have guessed it at all.”

“I think I was shocked. I don’t think I was ever really mad, I was more just surprised,” Ally said. “I was just so shocked that she kept this from me for so long.”

Also shocked about the secret? Zarin’s own parents, who hadn’t known. “They were so mad,” Zarin said. “I said, ‘Stephen and I tried to have Ally and we couldn’t, so we used a sperm donor, no big deal!’ “

As for Ally, after learning that the donor paperwork was mixed up, she’s since learned a lot about her donor father — connecting with him over on 23andMe just last year.

“She looks just like him,” Zarin said of the unnamed man, who donated to Repro Lab in Murray Hill, New York, back in 1991. “He [sent] a picture and his eyes are her eyes. There’s no disputing that this is [her father]. And the irony is, he lives maybe five blocks away from her. Personality wise — I haven’t met him, I’ve emailed a little bit — he seems more like Ally than I am. He’s calm, he’s a listener, he’s in the education world, he’s a teacher, a professor. Just very different. He’s very shy. He’s not on Facebook, he’s not on Instagram, he’s not like that. And Ally never liked that. She did it because of me … being famous wasn’t her thing, she could care less. That’s not Ally, she’s never been like that at all. So I can see the resemblance that way.”

Still, Ally hasn’t met him yet, but has met one of her four half-sisters, all of whom were born by his donations.

“I’m just not in a rush [to meet my biological father],” Ally said. “I think that a lot of this, I didn’t have a say in. I didn’t have a say in who my mom chose. I didn’t have a say in when I was told and how I was told or who my siblings are now. I feel like I can choose now when I want to meet this guy and what our relationship is.”

“I want to meet him when the timing is right for both of us. I feel like now’s not the right time,” Ally said, citing relationships she had with her mom’s second husband, Bobby Zarin (who died in 2018) and her mom’s new boyfriend, Gary Brody. “I feel so lucky that I’ve had so many dads in my life. My mom’s boyfriend right now, I’m really close with. I don’t feel like I’m trying to fill a role of like a long-lost father or a dad. Eventually when I meet him, it’ll be great.”

In the end, Zarin has no regrets over using a sperm donor.

“I have a happy ending,” she stressed. “I have a beautiful, bright, articulate girl and I couldn’t have asked for a better donor. But it could have turned out very differently.”

Richard Madeley struggles to hold it together during Ant and Dec prank

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway will be a little bit different this weekend due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Tomorrow night’s finale, which was meant to be held in Florida will be the first-ever pre-recorded show to air.

The comedy duo also had to film the ITV programme without a studio audience.

Although despite various obstacles, we are sure the Geordie pair won’t let us down.

In a first-look clip of tomorrow night’s show, Ant and Dec relive some of their favourite Saturday Night Takeaway moments, including when Richard Madeley was on the show in 2015.

The ITV host, who took part in the hilarious segment I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of My Ear barely held it together as he just couldn’t stop laughing, and to be honest neither could we.

In the clip, Richard could be seen interviewing photographers at his home so that he could put together a calendar.

You knew it wasn’t going to end well when he opened the door to Anastasia and said: ‘What’s up girlfriend?’

It all started out so well when he asked: ‘Have you had any of your work published on the World Wide Web?

‘How clever is the World Wide Web?’

Things then took a turn as Dec told Richard to ask: ‘Oh the iPhone, does that work on the World Wide web?’

The poor host could barely hold in his laughter as he found it just as funny as the hosts did.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.

Vanderpump Rules' Lala Kent Breaks Down in Tears Over Postponed Wedding Due to Coronavirus: 'It's Okay to Be Sad'

Even though she knows it’s for the best, Lala Kent is struggling with the reality of having to postpone her wedding.

The Vanderpump Rules star became emotional while discussing the decision to move her wedding with fiancé Randall Emmett from April to July in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

“I’m going through my planner and I put my wedding day on April 18 in pen because I didn’t think I would need to erase it at any point,” Kent said on the latest episode of their podcast Give Them Lala… with Randall.

Kent broke down in tears as she recalled having to cancel all of the couple’s pre-wedding plans and honeymoon.

“It’s okay babe,” said Emmett, trying to comfort Kent. “It’s okay to be sad. I don’t think people realize how devastating it is for someone to have a wedding [canceled].”

While the couple acknowledged that others have been affected far worse by the fallout from the coronavirus, they admitted that they have been extra emotional during this time.

“I’ve watched you cry and you’ve seen me upset,” said Emmett. “We had a full-out cryfest a week ago when we first made the decisions [to postpone].”

“I don’t think anyone is prepared for this,” he added.

Earlier this month, the couple exclusively told PEOPLE that their nuptials are on hold until the summer.

“We have decided to move the date of our wedding to July given the unfortunate circumstances of what is going on,” the couple said in a statement. “We are obviously saddened by this but for the ultimate safety of our families and guests, we have made the decision to wait and see how everything progresses. Safety will always be our number one priority.”

On their podcast, the couple said that while this isn’t what they envisioned for their wedding day, they are still looking forward to getting married.

“No matter what day we choose, it’s still going to be [special],” said Kent.

“I love you and I know it’s sad. We love each other and we’re here and we’re safe. At the end of the day, a lot of people would pick this spot,” said Emmett.

The couple got engaged in September 2018 during a romantic trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

“This weekend has been an amazing one for the two of us! It was definitely the most romantic moment of my life. Every detail of the surprise was stunning and I’m still in shock,” Kent told PEOPLE after Emmett’s proposal.

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.

'Vanderpump Rules': Did Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Finally Go on Their Honeymoon?

Although they married in June, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright from Vanderpump Rules have yet to go on their honeymoon.

The couple’s wedding was featured in several episodes of the show, which included drama and controversy. From a homophobic pastor to best man drama, the wedding had a number of twists and turns. But after all the planning and parties, the couple still hasn’t gotten away on a traditional honeymoon.

Taylor and Cartwright chatted with Daryn Carp from People TV about where they hoped to go once life returned to normal and the world could no longer be quarantined. Carp spoke to the couple via satellite and dished about what was next.

No honeymoon yet

Carp wondered if the couple would still be considered to be newlyweds. “It’ll be a year June 29,” Taylor shares. Cartwright adds, “Almost a year!” When Carp asked if they had plans for a one-year anniversary, they shared they’ve yet to take a honeymoon. “To be honest, we haven’t taken our honeymoon yet,” Taylor reveals.

“We were planning a honeymoon, but we don’t know what’s gonna happen with all this stuff going on in the world,” Cartwright says. “So we’ll see!” When they can get away, where did they want to go?

“We wanna go to Jamaica because I’ve never been to Jamaica, and I feel like there’s a lot to do there,” Cartwright says. Taylor adds that they wanted to visit a place that had activities but also someplace that had “grass hut hotels.” Of course, the reference made Cartwright giggle.

Jamaica seems to be at the top of the list as Cartwright mentioned the destination months ago to E! News. “What the goal is right now is Jamaica. I want to go to Jamaica. My mom went to Jamaica for one of her honeymoons. That sounds awful. One of her honeymoons,” she said. “I want like an over water bungalow type situation. Definitely something like in the Caribbean or tropical.” Apparently Bora Bora was also on the table too, according to People.

How has their relationship evolved since being married?

Carp also wanted to know what has changed the most since the couple married. “I’ve been asked this question a bunch of times, but nothing is really weird, I just feel like I’m actually responsible for somebody,” Taylor shares. “But other than that, we’ve been together for five years. So, not really much has changed.”

The only shift Cartwright notices is the couple’s desire to start a family. “We’re married now so he’s my husband, he’s my family,” she says. “We’ll have kids soon so it’s kinda cool because we’re starting something together so it feels a little different than just dating. Still the same, but we’re starting something together.”

Taylor adds that he’s gotten advice that the first year is the hardest. “But I don’t think it’s been any different,” he says. But Cartwright adds they moved in together after dating for only a few months so they are used to each other’s living habits.

Killing Eve Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

Killing Eve is coming back for more. AMC Networks announced in April 2019, just hours after the show’s Season 2 premiere, that Killing Eve will return for a third season with a new showrunner at the helm, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Here’s what we know about what’s next for the hit thriller.

The show will premiere two weeks early.

The third season of Killing Eve was originally set to debut on Sunday April 26, 2020 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. However, the debut was moved up by two weeks, to Sunday April 12 at 9 p.m. EST / 8 p.m. CST. All eight new episodes will be simulcast on BBC AMERICA and AMC.

There’s a new woman in charge.

Just like Season 2 saw Emerald Fennell take over showrunning duties from creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Season 3 will see Fear the Walking Dead writer Suzanne Heathcote leading the charge as writer and executive producer.

“I’m very excited that the Killing Eve baton is being passed onto another incredible writer for Season 3,” Waller-Bridge said in a statement. “We can sleep soundly knowing these characters are safe in Suzanne Heathcote’s hilariously murderous hands.”

Heathcote also worked on Apple TV Plus’s See and developed for HBO and Freeform, according to Deadline. She has a background in writing for theater.

Your favorite stars are coming back.

Spoiler Alert! Stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, and Fiona Shaw will all return for the third season. Waller-Bridge and Oh will executive produce alongside Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Gina Mingacci, Damon Thomas, and Jeff Melvoin.

“As we did last year, we’re renewing Killing Eve right out of the gate, now with Suzanne Heathcote as lead writer, as a sign of confidence—we adore this show as much as our fans do,” said Sarah Barnett, president of entertainment networks for AMC Networks, in a statement. “Killing Eve doesn’t do anything in a templated way; we love giving opportunity to three genius women to make their mark.”

New cast members include actors from Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Succession.

Gemma Whalen (Yara Greyjoy in Game of Thrones) and Pedja Bjelac (Igor Karkaroff in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) are joining the cast for Season 3, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Other new names on the roster include French actress Camille Cottin (Allied), Turlough Convery (Poldark, Ready Player One, BBC One’s Les Misérables), Steve Pemberton (The League of Gentlemen), Evgenia Dodina (One Week and a Day), and Raj Bajaj (Doctor Who, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding), according to EW.

Dame Harriet Walter (Caroline Collingwood in Succession) and Danny Sapani (William North in Harlots) are also new additions.

Season 1 of Killing Eve made its mark as one of the top shows of 2018, earning two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe win for Sandra Oh in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category.

Eve and Villanelle will try to live without each other.

“The third season continues the story of two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice,” according to a synopsis from BBC America. “For Villanelle, the assassin without a job, Eve is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family, and allegiances … and perhaps a share of their souls.”

“This is a season about identity, self-determination and chaos,” Sally Woodward Gentle, executive producer for Sid Gentle Films Ltd., said.

See the first photos from the season below.

This won’t be the last season.

Before Season 3 even released, BBC America announced in January 2020 that Killing Eve had been renewed for Season 4. The showrunner for the next chapter has not yet been revealed.

Killing Eve airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on BBC America and AMC.

Lucifer season 6 release date: Has Maze star confirmed return? ‘It would be fun’

Netflix announced last year Lucifer would be coming to an end on the streaming platform after its upcoming fifth outing. However, talks began in February which hinted the show could be saved once again. In a new interview, Lesley-Ann Brandt has given fans some insight into what is next for the show.

Will there be a season 6 of Lucifer?

Lucifer has already been saved once from cancellation after Fox dropped the series at the end of season three.

Netflix picked it up then and renewed it for seasons four and five before announcing it would be coming to an end again.

However, back in February, new reports from TV Line suggested Netflix and Warner Brother TV were in conversation to continue the show.

After this, news emerged of Lucifer star Tom Ellis renewing his contract, as well as the showrunners.

“That being said, I feel like our show is peaking and I want us to end on that – pow. That was amazing.”

At the moment, the end of season five is itself still currently up in the air after filming was shut down following the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

The star confirmed they had stopped filming halfway through the finale episode of season five.
