Bruno Fernandes ‘leaked WhatsApp message’ shows Man Utd hero’s brutal side as he slammed team-mates’ ‘s*** attitude’ – The Sun

A LEAKED WhatsApp message has provided a unique insight into the passion and character of Bruno Fernandes.

The Manchester United ace is shown to be a vocal dressing room figure in the messages, which have emerged after being sent to team-mates while back at Sporting Lisbon.

Fernandes railed against bad attitudes – and complained of colleagues who "don't want to be here".

The messages, reported by Record, via Mirror, read: "Bro, I don't say anything! I honestly, if you want me to tell you, I'd rather not comment on anything.

"I think very badly of some of the attitudes of some players. Actually not a certain attitude, it's an attitude that does not exist.

"There are players who have no attitude here, bro. They don't want to be here, they don't want to play.

"They don't want to be here then f*** off, let them say they don't want to play. They spend a year here getting money, and then they f*** off, bro. S*** attitude bro, for f**** sake."

Fernandes has already earned a reputation at Old Trafford for speaking his mind, seen by many as providing the shot in the arm needed to revamp United's ailing season.

Since arriving in January, the Portuguese international, 25, has notched three goals and four assists for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

And the media pressure that comes with playing for United is something he has experience dealing with, as the leaked messages showed him slamming the local press in Lisbon.

Bruno Fernandes will be a Man Utd hero like Paul Scholes and Eric Cantona, claims Paul Ince – The Sun

BRUNO FERNANDES has all the tools to become a Manchester United hero like Paul Scholes and Eric Cantona, according to Paul Ince.

The Portuguese new-boy, 25, has been a real hit at Old Trafford since his £55million January move from Sporting Lisbon.

Fernandes arriving in Manchester has sparked a solid run of form for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, who had struggled for creativity and form all season.

And now Ince reckons he can be the icon Red Devils fans deserve, much likes Scholes and Cantona in the recent glory days.

Ince told Paddy Power: "[Fernandes] has been fantastic since he came into the side.

"Even yesterday when he didn’t do that much, what he did do was top quality. That ball into Anthony Martial was outstanding.

"Fans are getting carried away, and I try not to, but I can certainly see why they are.

"Every club, every set of fans want to have a hero, and he’s going to be that for Man Utd.

"When he goes to take a corner, the fans are going wild for him, they love him, he can be a real hero.

"I’m talking a Paul Scholes or an Eric Cantona – he can be one of those types of heroes for the club.

"I’m not saying in terms of performances, or level of football, but United haven’t had a hero in their team for a long, long time. He can be that."

REAL CHARACTER

Ince continued: "He’s doing everything right at the moment, including the ‘shh’ gesture to Pep Guardiola, which was always going to be a sure way to win over the fans.

"It’s good to see someone joining with a bit of character, too."

Ince when on to say Fernandes can be exactly what fans hoped Paul Pogba would be following his then-world-record £89million move from Juventus in 2016.

Ex-United star Ince even suggested the 2018 World Cup winner might struggle to get back into the team following his injury thanks to the Portuguese new-boy.

Ince said: "Fans thought Paul Pogba was going to be the star. But, look how that panned out.

"If he still wants to leave I’d say it would be far easier for Ole to do so now that Bruno is around. It doesn’t feel like they need him anymore.

"His truly great games have been few and far between, so the current situation could suit club and player.

"If he does come back before the end of the season, he’s not even going to get in the team. He’s going to have to fight for his place – if he even gets one."

Watch Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial’s amazing bear hug reaction to Scott McTominay’s goal in Man Utd win over City – The Sun

BRUNO FERNANDES and Anthony Martial just couldn't get enough of each other with their amazing bear hug reaction to Scott McTominay's 40-yard stunner.

The Red Devils duo combined perfectly for Manchester United's opener in their 2-0 win over Man City on Sunday.

And their reaction to McTominay's late goal shows an adorable bromance is brewing off the pitch also.

Fernandes has injected creativity into the heart of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's midfield since arriving to Old Trafford from Sporting CP just over a month ago.

With 30 minutes on the clock on Sunday the £47million Portuguese ace stood over a set-piece on the left flank that he himself had won after a tangle with Ilkay Gundogan.

The United newbie produced a deft free kick over City's defence to connect with his pal Martial who fired home at the near-post.

In five Premier League games the United midfielder now has an impressive tally of three assists and two goals – more than any other Manchester United player in this period.

As the clock wound down against their rivals McTominay pounced on an Ederson mistake and smashed home from 40-yards to seal the win

And the relief was summed up in Fernandes and Martial's adorable reaction in the dugout.

Fernandes further endeared himself to United fans with a cheeky gesture at Pep Guardiola towards the end of the derby.

The Portuguese new boy silenced the City boss with a cocky gesture following a heated exchange between the two.

Guardiola was shouting at the ex-Sporting CP star down the touchline when the midfielder turned and pressed his fingers to his mouth to shush him.

United are now three points off a top four place, with the last Champions League qualification place currently occupied by Chelsea.
