When are Tesco branches opening and closing?

Tesco has more than 3,400 stores across the UK and you can find your nearest – including store opening times – using the supermarket's store locator tool.

The supermarket has implemented special opening times for the elderly and vulnerable and early closures to help restock shelves.

A spokesman for the store said it has temporarily stopped its 24 hour opening times to help with restocking.

Many stores are opening at 6am or 7am in the morning and closing at 10pm.

Tesco has also announced that the hours of 9am-10am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be reserved for the most vulnerable customers.

On Sundays, there is an hour of browsing before checkouts open dedicated to NHS workers.

Neither of these special hours will apply to Express stores.

A statement from Tesco also said it was closing its deli counters and cafes for the foreseeable future to help in other parts of the stores.

We suggest you call your nearest store before heading out to shop as they may alter their timings over the next few weeks.

When is the best time to shop there?

Google has a tracker that allows you to see when the peak times are.

If you search for “Tesco” and then click on your nearest store, it will show a bar chart of when the store’s busiest times are.

What should I buy when I’m there?

The Government and supermarkets have urged shoppers not to panic buy or stockpile and have repeatedly said there is “enough food for everyone”.
We have compiled a list of what you need for two weeks now that Boris Johnson has told Brits to shop as infrequently as possible.

Is there a limit on items?

Yes. Tesco has said it has placed a three item limit per customer on each product line and has temporarily removed its multi-buy promotions.

Asda also announced it was following Tesco's lead and changing the opening times for its 24 hour stores so it can restock overnight.

Can I order online?

Tesco's online service is open as normal and anyone is currently able to create an account.

However, shoppers have discovered that Tesco has sold out of delivery slots amid the coronavirus outbreak.

As of March 26, Click+Collect slots also appear to be unavailable.

There are alternative food delivery options including Eversfield Organic, Mindful Chef, AmazonFresh, Abel & Cole and Hello Fresh.

Supermarkets have asked for customers to tell them if they are self isolating to reduce the risk of the infection spreading.

Are GP surgeries open today during coronavirus lockdown for routine appointments? – The Sun

GP surgeries up and down the country are being forced to change their working practice amid the coronavirus crisis.

Physical attendance at a doctor's surgery is now considered a high risk as the number of cases and deaths continues to rise.

⚠️ Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest news & updates

Are GP surgeries open today?

Most surgeries have closed their doors to physical patients and are now offering telephone appointments.

After Boris Johnson's speech on Monday night, physical attendance at surgeries is now considered high risk.

It varies by surgery, though, with some accepting patients who have pre-booked appointments and some now conducting them over the phone.

Check with your GP on their working practices today either on their website or by phoning them.

What should I do if I have an appointment?

Phone your GP if you were due to attend the doctor's surgery for an appointment.

That is unless you have coronavirus symptoms, in which case the advice is to stay away from GP surgeries.

Most surgeries are now offering telephone triage to assess people and any further course of treatment needed.

Can I still book an appointment or repeat prescription?

This depends on your surgery's current practices.

Most surgeries are offering telephone triage and appointments to their patients rather than have them come into the surgery.

Repeat prescription requests can be done online for surgeries that have this facility set up.

What should I do if I have coronavirus symptoms?

If you have either a fever or a new and continuous cough the NHS website advises you to stay home and away from others.

The advice is to self-isolate for a period of 14 days and avoid going to places like a GP surgery or hospital.

Anybody who lives in your household should also self-isolate if you're feeling ill.

When should I call 111?

The NHS have set up an online 111 service for patients who think they might have coronavirus.

If you think you have symptoms of the big, fill in the online questionnaire and you'll be directed to help in your area.

Is Waitrose open today? Online delivery options and coronavirus opening hours – The Sun

MOST Waitrose branches are open as usual as coronavirus continues to spread across the UK, but some stores in John Lewis shops are closed.

The supermarket chain has introduced new social distancing measures including limiting the number of customers in stores and has extra provisions in place to ensure elderly and vulnerable can get the food they need. Here are all the changes at Waitrose.

When are Waitrose stores opening and closing?

Waitrose opening times vary from 7am to 8am, and some stores will be closing an hour early to allow staff to restock shelves – find your local store here.

The first opening hour will be dedicated to elderly and vulnerable customers, and their carers.

The temporary closure of John Lewis shops has forced the closure of: the Waitrose foodhall in Bluewater, Little Waitrose in Watford and Southampton. More information about the closures is on their website.

Customers can no longer use click and collect in Waitrose' John Lewis shops, but can still select this option to collect at other Waitrose stores or selected Co-Op stores and Booths if there are slots available.

Closing times of Waitrose stores ordinarily vary from 7pm to 9pm.

Unlike other chains, Waitrose has not dedicated a shopping hour to NHS workers but has

set aside a proportion of hard-to-find and essential products exclusively for NHS staff when they show their ID card.

NHS staff are also given priority checkout service to ensure they are able to get through as quickly as possible.

What has Waitrose done to maintain social distancing?

Waitrose is now limiting the number of customers that can be in a supermarket or convenience shop at any one time.

Customer limits depend on the size of the branch and the number of tills and are at the discretion of the shop's manager.

Waitrose has also introduced 'marshals' and signage to help manage queues outside shops and remind customers of the two metre social distancing rule.

In some stores the number of checkouts will be reduced so staff can spread out and checkout screens have been ordered to protect staff and customers.

Yes, Waitrose has a three-item limit on all products and has limited customers to two packets of toilet roll.

Exclusions to this include fresh fruit and vegetables, Easter confectionery, beers, wines, cider and spirits.

Can I order online?

Not at the moment. Waitrose' home delivery and click and collect services were at capacity with no slots available when The Sun checked online on March 24, 2020.

Waitrose says: "We’re working to increase our capacity again and are asking customers to bear with us. If you have an existing order with us, you will still be able to amend this."

Chelsea star Willian open to joining Arsenal on free transfer in summer… if Arteta’s side qualify for Champions League – The Sun

CHELSEA winger Willian could join Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer if Mikel Arteta's side qualify for the Champions League, according to reports.

Willian's current deal expires this summer with the club stalling on a new contract for the 31-year-old.

The Blue have a policy of only offering one-year extensions to players over 30 but Willian is holding out for a three-year deal.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen to get a deal done for Willian but director Marina Granovskaia is reluctant to agree to a contract longer than 12 months.

As a result, it could open the door for Arsenal to raid their rivals as they look to boost their squad after an underwhelming season so far.

A deal for Willian could depend on the Gunners qualifying for the Champions League, but there is eight points between them and Chelsea in fourth.

Arsenal are ninth after only winning nine games this season but are in a mini revival, having not lost in the league since December, a 2-1 defeat to Lampard's side.

Wllian has scored six times in 37 appearances in all competitions this season and has played a key part in Lampard's first season in charge.

If both parties were unable to agree a deal, Chelsea could turn their attention to Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, who is the third top scorer in the Bundesliga, became the first Englishman to record 15 assists in a season since Lampard.

Willian told ESPN Brazil: "There’s nothing with any other team.

“My negotiation for now is with Chelsea.

"There’s still nothing concrete from any team.

“And the situation with Chelsea is still that way.

"They offered me two, I demanded three, and it stopped there."

Selena Gomez holding open casting call for fans to star in Rare Beauty campaign

Selena Gomez is looking for a rare model.

The “Look At Her Now” singer, 27, shared on Thursday that fans can now enter for a chance to be cast in an upcoming ad campaign for her new makeup company, Rare Beauty.

“Our first #WeAreRare community call is open and we’re excited to build this community together! It’s all about celebrating what makes you, you; and we would love your voice to be a part of the story,” Gomez posted on Instagram today.

From now through March 1, anyone in the United States 18 years or older is invited to submit their Sephora Color IQ (using the beauty giant’s shade-matching tool) and Instagram handle along with a story about what makes them rare.

Gomez and her team will select the first batch of winners on March 9. Lucky chosen fans will be featured in the upcoming campaign, receive early access to products and “help build the Rare community,” according to a representative from the brand.

“Rare Beauty aims to find beauty in what society considers ‘imperfect’ and build a community that shapes conversations around beauty, self-acceptance, and mental health,” according to a press release.

After much speculation, Gomez officially announced her makeup line — which will be sold online and in Sephora stores as well as at JC Penney Sephora locations — earlier this month.

It will officially launch this summer.
