Royal Ballet and Liam Scarlett part ways after an investigation

The British choreographer Liam Scarlett on Tuesday left his position as the Royal Ballet's artist-in-residence, after an investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct with dance students.

Mr Scarlett will "no longer work with, or for, the Royal Ballet," the company said in a statement, which added that a seven-month, independent investigation the company commissioned "found there were no matters to pursue in relation to alleged contact with students of the Royal Ballet School".

A spokesman for the Royal Ballet said the company would not comment further on the announcement. Mr Scarlett did not immediately answer an email requesting his response.

Mr Scarlett, once heralded as a "choreographic wonder boy of British ballet" by The New York Times, has created works for dance companies worldwide, including Australia's Queensland Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre. This month, the Royal Ballet was forced to end the sold-out run of his Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House after the coronavirus pandemic shut down the venue.

The Royal Ballet learned of the allegations against Mr Scarlett in August; though the company didn't disclose them at the time, it suspended Mr Scarlett immediately.

This episode is the latest in a string of misconduct scandals that have hit the ballet world. At the end of 2017, Peter Martins, the leader of New York City Ballet, retired after accusations of abuse were made against him. A company investigation did not corroborate the accusations, which Mr Martins denied.

Last year, an arbitrator ordered New York City Ballet to reinstate two male dancers it had fired after they were accused of sharing sexually explicit photos of female dancers.

Harry Potter actress Scarlett Hefner announces she’s pregnant with first baby with Playboy heir husband Cooper – The Sun

HARRY Potter actress Scarlett Hefner has revealed she's pregnant with her first child.

The 29-year-old, who's married to Playboy heir Cooper Hefner, shared the happy news on Instagram yesterday.

She posted a picture of her sitting in a floral dress in which her small bump was visible.

And in another shot she held hands with a smiling Cooper.

Her announcement read: "Cooper and I are delighted to share that we have a little one on the way.

"Our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy, and the two of us can’t wait to meet the newest little Hefner."

Scarlett married Cooper in a very low-key wedding ceremony in California last November.

The English actress tied the knot with Hugh Hefner's son at the Ventura County courthouse after a four-year engagement.

Scarlett, who played Pansy Parkinson in the hit film series, wore a simple white lace-edged dress while her millionaire husband wore a stylish blue suit.

The brunette shared a picture of the newlyweds at the court with the words: "Cooper and I are excited to share that we legally married."

Scarlett  – who posed naked for Playboy in 2017 – said at the time: "We are looking forward to planning our wedding in the coming months where we will celebrate further with our friends and family.

"I love you Cooper. I am proud to stand by your side, as your partner, your friend, and your wife.

"I cannot wait to continue building a life together. My heart is so full and I am so grateful for our love."

Cooper, 28, announced: "Scarlett and I have made it officially legal and the two of us could not be happier.

"Cheers to a life full of love, happiness, adventure, and great purpose, Mrs. Hefner.

"I love you dearly and very much look forward to planning our wedding celebrations in the months ahead. I love you, Scarlett."

The pair became engaged in 2015 and the smitten English actress said at the time: “I was lucky enough to fall in love with my best friend.”

TV fans may also recognise the star for her appearances on The Vampire Diaries, where she plays Nora Hildegard, and from Falling Skies, where she plays Lexi.

Cooper is one of four children of the late Hugh Hefner, and began working at his father's company while still at college.

His mum is Kimberley Conrad who was Playboy's Playmate of the Month in January 1988 and became Playmate of the Year 1989.

He went on to become the chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprises but left the company in April this year to launch his own media brand the Hefner Media Corporation.

Cooper is believed to have inherited millions from his dad's £40m estate following his death aged 91 in 2017.

Hugh Hefner was the founder of the iconic Playboy magazine, which he launched in 1953.

The magazine famous for its iconic covers went from strength to strength, becoming a household name and catapulting Hefner to fame.

His parties at the Playboy mansion and his antics with the models who lived there with him became the stuff of legend.

By his own account, Hefner had sex with more than a thousand women, including many of those pictured in his magazine, after the collapse of his marriage.

Scarlett Johansson Says Becoming a Mother Changed the Way She Thinks About Her Acting Career

Scarlett Johansson is a two-time Oscar nominee. She took the No. 1 spot in 2019 as the highest-paid Hollywood actress earning a whopping $56 million thanks in large part to her role in Avengers: Endgame as Black Widow. And in the last year, she’s starred in not one but two Academy Award-winning films; Jojo Rabbit and Netflix’s Marriage Story

Her personal life is just as filled with activity as her career in the entertainment industry. She’s a single parent to a 5-year-old daughter named Rose. Plus, she and Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost announced their engagement in May 2019 shortly after the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. The two made their red carpet debut as an item a year earlier at the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War in 2018.

Scarlett Johansson had Rose in 2014 with her ex-husband

Before getting together with Jost, whom she first met more than a decade ago during a hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, Johansson had been in a relationship with French journalist-turned-entrepreneur, Romain Dauriac.

The couple kept their relationship largely out of the public eye with Johansson rarely discussing her personal life during interviews (something she pretty much still does). Sure, there had been the occasional photograph snapped of them in public but for the most part, they kept their relationship under wraps.

In 2014, the two not only welcomed their daughter Rose but they also got married in a private ceremony. Three years later in 2017, they divorced however the heartbreaking experience served as inspiration for Johansson’s role in Marriage Story.

Johansson’s approach to her acting career is more care-free

During an interview with Vanity Fair published on Nov. 26, 2019, 35-year-old Johansson sat down with the publication to discuss her time in the entertainment industry as well as her most recent projects.

In a rare moment about parenting, she explained how her feelings regarding her own acting career had shifted since becoming a mother. Her priorities had simply changed.

“Now I have a child…not that I’m not career-driven now, but I guess I’ve been driven by other sides of my career in the past,” she said.

She continued, saying what used to occupy thoughts no longer takes up space in her brain: “Maybe I was more concerned with a certain kind of visibility or exposure. And now I’m not as worried about that stuff. I’m in a good phase in my career where I’m able to actually wait for stuff that’s right.”

She admitted to sometimes getting lonely as a single parent

In another interview with USA Today published a month earlier in Oct. 2019, Johansson once again spoke about parenting, specifically the struggles of raising a child as a single parent.

“I’ve felt in the past – there’s such a loneliness to being a single parent,” she said, according to USA Today. “Obviously, it’s a lot of many different things at once, but there can be a loneliness and this constant feeling of doubt, that you don’t know what the h**l you’re doing and you don’t have anyone else to bounce it off of.”

She continued, saying it can be isolating being with a child without any other adults around.

“You’re also spending a lot of time alone with a child, without the company of another adult, which is hard for long periods of time,” Johansson said. “You maybe have doubts about your life: How did I get here? It’s not all the time … but those moments creep in, and they creep in at weird times.”

Next up see Johansson in Black Widow, her Marvel character’s own stand-alone feature film, due out April 24, 2020, which the actress says is unlike any other Marvel movie thus far.
