Man named Jesus ‘smashed churches antique stained glass window with a foot-long sandstone rock’ – The Sun

A MAN named Jesus was charged after confessing to trashing a church’s 100-year-old stained glass window.

Jesus Jose Arellano allegedly smashed the antique window at the Grace Moravian Church in Mount Airy, North Carolina, around 11pm on Monday.

Arellano has also been accused of throwing a foot-long sandstone rock, which broke through six inches of Plexiglas to make it to the window.

Pastor Neil Ruth told WXII-TV that roughly two square feet of the 30-foot Tiffany glass window was destroyed.

On Tuesday, authorities said they found Arellano in a cemetery located across the street from the church.

The pastor said the Grace Moravian Church is a “symbol of kindness in the community” — and questioned why anyone would smack the window, which he said was nearly a century old.

Ruth told the news outlet the stained glass window dates back to 1925, when the church started to serve the North Carolina community where it'd located.

The pastor added churchgoers are concerned about Arellano’s alleged vandalism.

The man was charged with injury to real property in connection with the incident.

It wasn’t immediately clear why Arellano allegedly hit the window, but police say he confessed to the crime.

This Guy Just Smashed the World Record for Largest Workout Live-Stream

Joe Wicks has essentially made himself the entire internet’s P.E. teacher. With schools, gyms and playgrounds all closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the population currently living in lockdown, Wicks decided to start streaming live workout sessions on his YouTube channel, to help children get active during lockdown, and encourage families to enjoy exercise together.

Taking place every weekday at 9 a.m. (UK time), the “P.E. With Joe” classes are suitable for all ages and equipment-free, making them an accessible, popular way to stay fit. On March 24, “P.E. With Joe” amassed 955,185 views, setting a new official world record for the “most viewers of a fitness workout live stream on YouTube.”

“I had no idea that when I went live on my YouTube workout on the 24th March, that we were actually setting a world record!” Said Wicks. “So thank you to everyone that tuned in — I’m so proud that this is our record, and we can remember that day as the moment we got the most viewers for a live workout.”

This is Wicks’ second time entering the book of Guinness World Records, after leading 3,804 people in the world’s largest HIIT class in summer 2017.

Congratulations to @thebodycoach! 🙌

Wicks hosted a special edition of “P.E. With Joe” this week as a part of the BBC’s Big Night In telethon, which raised more than $27 million (around $33.4 million) for COVID-19 relief.
