The truth about Bray Wyatt’s ex-wife

In and out of the ring, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s life is filled with drama. Just like other professional wrestlers, Wyatt — real name: Windham Lawrence Rotunda — has made headlines in the past few years due to his scandalous love life.

In 2017, Wyatt’s wife of five years, Samantha Rotunda, filed for divorce, alleging he cheated on her with ring announcer and former wrestler, Joseann “JoJo” Offerman. At the time, he denied the allegations and claimed his ex was simply trying to defame him (via Pro Wrestling Sheet).

Eventually, however, the truth was exposed via Rotunda’s lawyer, who claimed there was proof that Wyatt had a close relationship with Offerman, according to the Daily Mail. Things got ugly, and the pro wrestler reportedly walked out on Rotunda and began dating Offerman.

In 2018, the WWE star even made their relationship Instagram official (while turning off the comments feature on his posts to avoid the backlash). And in 2019, the lovers welcomed a child of their own: a son named Knash.

Bray Wyatt's ex-wife Samantha Rotunda has moved on

Despite her heartbreak following Bray Wyatt’s affair, Samantha Rotunda has also moved on. The Florida real estate agent is now dating a man named Dan Pixley, a landscape laborer, according to his Instagram bio. Things seem to be going well between the two, since in June 2019, Rotunda wished both him and her ex a happy Father’s Day.

“I’m so thankful for their daddy @thewindhamrotunda who blessed me with the two greatest treasures in my life and continues to help raise these beauties and to @danpix54 who stepped in to this crazy life, not knowing what to expect, and truly loves my girls as though they were his own; protecting and supporting them each and every day,” she wrote alongside a photo of her daughters holding hands with Pixley, and another of them holding hands with their dad.

“I am truly so thankful for both of these men and because of our team effort, that we are working on each and every day, my girls are growing into amazing little woman (who will never ever date….ever, if these guys have any say). It’s not always easy, but it’s our life, and they are what matters!,” Rotunda continued, even throwing in the hashtags #coparenting and #myheartissofull.

Bray Wyatt's messy divorce battle

Prior to the dissolution of their marriage, Bray Wyatt and Samantha Rotunda’s love story was rom-com worthy, per Heavy. The two met as students at Troy University in Alabama and fell deeply in love. While Rotunda stayed to earn her degree, Wyatt — who was there on a football scholarship — left early to pursue a career as a professional wrestler. He signed with WWE in 2009. Two years later, in 2011, the couple welcomed daughter Kendyl. In 2012, they tied the knot, and in 2013, they welcomed daughter Cadyn.

When Rotunda filed for divorce, she asked for full custody of their girls and child support. She also asked to keep their family home in Florida’s west coast (via Heavy). In 2018, however, Daily Mail reported Wyatt was avoiding paying his ex child support, and instead spending money on jewelry for his girlfriend, JoJo Offerman. He’d also reportedly been staying at the Total Divas star’s apartment in Miami, rather than in West Florida, near his daughters.

After being forced into mediation, Wyatt agreed to pay his ex $14,765 per month in maintenance and child support. According to both Wyatt and Rotunda’s Instagram posts, they’ve seemingly reached a co-parenting agreement since.

As for his wrestling career, Wyatt is set to challenge John Cena at WrestleMania 36, scheduled to take place from April 4 to 5, 2020.

The truth about Prince Harry and William’s step-sister

The royal family has been in the spotlight a lot recently. With Meghan Markle and Harry stepping down from their roles as senior members to her majesty Queen Elizabeth taking abundant caution in the face of a growing pandemic, they’ve faced extra attention. That health-related caution is nothing new though, since the Queen apparently always keeps an extra bag of blood on hand when she travels because… you know… just in case anyone needs some extra blood to go around.

Overall, the royal family has had its fair share of run-ins with the media, and rumor has it that ruthless tabloid coverage even had a hand in Markle and Harry’s final decision to step down. In the past, Prince Harry hinted his decision to step away from the throne was in part due to the media coverage that he called “a powerful force,” according to the Associated Press.

Harry even drew parallels between the media that followed his wife and the coverage that followed his mother, Princess Diana, to her grave. Markle and Harry at one point got into legal altercations with the press, suing over intrusion.

But with all the media attention following the royal family, there’s one member who has successfully evaded it for a long time: William and Harry’s sister.

Laura Lopes works in the art world

Technically a step-sister to the royal brothers, Laura Lopes is the step-daughter of Prince Charles and biological daughter of his second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, according to Oh! My Mag. Her biological father, Andrew Parker Bowles, was Camilla’s first husband before she married Prince Charles.

When Prince Charles and Camilla officially married in 2005, Laura came with. She’s also got a brother named Thomas Parker-Bowles, who works as a food critic and tends to keep a low profile, per Hola! magazine.

Lopes has since married her now-husband, Harry Lopes. The couple has three kids: Eliza, Gus, and Louis (yes — that means there’s another Louis in the family besides our favorite Prince Louis). This would also mean the three children are technically cousins to Princes George and Louis, Princess Charlotte, and baby Archie.

Besides being a mother and wife, 42-year-old Lopes is an art curator, who has managed art galleries in the past and even co-founded her very own in London, according to Hola! mag.

Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have taken a step back, does that mean this could be Lopes’ time to shine?

The untold truth of Madonna’s boyfriend, Ahlamalik Williams

Paparazzi photos of a makeup-free Madonna engaging in some unexpected PDA with her backup dancer shocked the world in December 2019. The pop diva, 61, and Ahlamalik Williams, 25, were pictured embracing on a hotel balcony in Miami, where Madonna was performing as part of her Madame X tour.

Some of the shots, obtained by Daily Mail, even caught the “Material Girl” singer’s daughter Lourdes Leon Ciccone — who goes by “Lola” — cuddling up to her much-older hunk on the same balcony! Like mother, like daughter?

In the months leading up to the steamy photos, Williams was seen by Madonna’s side various times. The two — along with the rest of her crew — traveled the world, from Europe to East Asia to the United States, delighting concertgoers everywhere. Still, fans assumed at the time that he was just another one of her dancers.

Now, we know that’s not the case. So here’s everything fans need to know about Madonna’s boyfriend.

Ahlamalik Williams is thankful for Madonna

Technically, Ahlamalik Williams and Madonna’s professional relationship goes back to at least 2015 when he was seen performing in her Rebel Heart tour, according to the Daily Mail. While has not spoken publicly of their relationship, he often posts about her on his Instagram and he’s also promoted her music by sharing screenshots listening to her songs.

In July 2019, he shared a shot from one of her concerts and wrote in the caption: “Warriors with a message.” One supportive fan wrote in the comments, “Age is nothing but a wishes to your love.” In another IG post from May 2019, he even thanked his leading lady for giving him “the opportunity to change the world, a show at a time.”

Madonna has kept mum about the romance, but on her tour website, she does have her boyfriend listed as a dancer and choreographer. Hey, at least that’s something.

Ahlamalik Williams' background and career

According to the Daily Mail, Madonna’s dancer boy toy is the son of a U.S. military veteran. Ahlamalik Williams was born in April 1994 and spent his childhood in California, where he attended high school near Sacramento. Williams has two siblings: a brother Ahlijah and a sister LeYana. His brother is also a dancer.

While Williams is out busting moves with the queen of pop, he hopes to “change the world through ART,” according to an Instagram post from December 2019. The talented dancer — who now has 101,000 Instagram followers — joined up with Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE production in 2013, right after graduating high school, and two years before getting recruited by Madonna, per the Daily Mail

A post shared by Ahlamalik Williams (@ahla_malik) on Dec 3, 2019 at 12:32pm PST

When he’s not touring the world with his famous girlfriend, he’s posting videos of his dance routines on the gram. “Light work,” he captioned a clip of himself dancing in January.

Williams has also done some acting. In 2013, he appeared in the movie Frat Brothers, according to Star Magazine.

Ahlamalik Williams is not Madonna's first boy toy

Madonna hasn’t addressed Ahlamalik Williams as her boyfriend in public, but over the years, she’s made it clear she’s not ashamed of her love life. In a 2017 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Madonna admitted, “I have lovers who are three decades younger than me. This makes people very uncomfortable. I feel like everything I do makes people feel really uncomfortable.”

“I believe women should own their sexuality and sexual expression. I don’t believe there’s a certain age where you can’t say and feel and be who you want to be,” she added.

As fans know, Williams is not the first backup dancer Madonna has cuddled up with. He’s also not her first much-younger lover. The diva previously had flings with dancers Brahim Zaibat and Timor Steffens, per Hello! magazine. She also briefly dated male model Kevin Sampaio. All were in their 20s or early 30s when the star caught their attention.

Apart from that, the “Like a Virgin” singer was married to Sean Penn from 1985 to 1989 and Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008. Now, after months of dating Williams, could she be considering walking down the aisle again?

The untold truth of Lil Uzi Vert

Symere Woods, aka Lil Uzi Vert, started rapping in Philadelphia, Pa., and thanks to sites like SoundCloud, went from a local kid to superstar in no time. “The appeal of his style, not unlike a teenaged Lil Wayne, is some combination of nasal vocal tone and penchant for melody, despite no discernible singing talent,” The Fader summarized.

But after his major studio debut album Luv Is Rage 2 peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2017, Lil Uzi Vert dropped off the map. According to Hot New Hip Hop, someone released a fake album under his name in 2019. The album shot up to “the top” of the iTunes chart before being removed, showing the demand for new Lil Uzi Vert music. Then for real, the rapper dropped his third full-length album Eternal Awake in 2020.

A talented artist, for sure, but there’s much more to Lil Uzi Vert than his skills on the mic. For real? For real, this is the untold truth of Lil Uzi Vert.

What's up with Lil Uzi Vert and that Canadian guy?

In 2016, Lil Uzi Vert and Nardwuar had their first interview together. The Canadian web personality is known for his in-depth research that often astounds the artists. In a video of their first interaction at SXSW, the yearly festival in Austin, the guys talked about musical inspirations and Britney, Lil Uzi Vert’s girlfriend at the time. But then two years later, things got really interesting. This time, Lil Uzi Vert and Nardwuar met in Vancouver, B.C., and once again, the Canadian came loaded with deep-cut references to the rapper. Lil Uzi Vert ran away mid-discussion after the interview mentioned “Guns Garcia,” a Philadelphia DJ, via The Philadelphia Inquirer. In the video interview, Nardwuar raced after Lil Uzi Vert to seek his signature ending of singing “Doot doola doot doo” and hoping for the guest response of “Doot doo!” Well, Nardwuar managed to get his answer and Lil Uzi Vert actually used the audio clip at the end of his song “Futsal Shuffle 2020.”

The pair reunited twice in 2019, the first at Rolling Loud Festival. Unsurprisingly, Lil Uzi Vert ran away after only a few minutes talking. But in the video, Nardwuar still got his signature ending. The second time in the year was at Day N Vegas festival, though the interaction seemed to be running out of steam. Lil Uzi Vert and Nardwuar briefly talked through a chain-link fence before the video ended. Will this go on forever?

Where did the name Lil Uzi Vert come from?

Many rappers earn their signature name through a moment or a defining feature. A young Symere Woods earned his stage name on the streets of Philadelphia, Pa. “Before Lil Uzi Vert was a singsong mage, he was a quick-spitter whose name came from his compact size and rapid-fire style,” according to Pitchfork. Lil Uzi Vert confirmed the story to Vibe, saying, “Some guy was just like ‘you rap fast, man. Like a little machine gun’ and from that moment I was Lil Uzi.” The outlet also noted that “the anonymous friend that gave Uzi his moniker has no idea that he named him.”

Okay, so that covers the first part, but… Vert? According to Rolling Stone that rapper once explained, “Vert is, like, straight to the top, like a vertical leap.” Though a bit of a stretch, Genius and others realized the name is a homophone — if you say Lil Uzi Vert quickly, it can sound like “Lucifer.”

Lil Uzi Vert loves his fashion

Listen to any Lil Uzi Vert song and within a few bars, he is probably bragging about his expensive clothes like Balenciaga or Rick Owens. Even early in his career, Lil Uzi Vert loved to talk about fashion. In a 2016 video interview for Vibe, the rapper just started describing his outfit. “This is Yeezy … This is Margiela … Of course, I’m gonna always be dipped in fashion.” It helps that he and Virgil Abloh were friends even before Louis Vuitton named Abloh as creative director. Lil Uzi Vert lovingly referred to him as a “fashionably inclined uncle.”

As his fame grew, so did Lil Uzi Vert’s passion for fashion. Speaking with GQ, he talked about his impulsive shopping habits. “This is the first time I tried anything on. If I can’t fit in it, I just give it away. In the store, if I try on s**t and I’m too small, I’ll be upset, bro! I just gotta take it,” he confessed. Compiling outfits seems to give the rapper inspiration and he definitely takes fashion seriously. “Honestly, in my heart, I think I do this better than music,” he said. “Cause the music s**t is effortless. I actually take my time with this.”

Abloh said about the rapper, “Lil Uzi isn’t even human. He is another level of a creative being.” Going even further, Abloh added, “To me he is an Impressionist painter replacing pigments with ready-made brands and clothes.”

Secrets from inside the studio

Sound engineer Kesha Lee is an industry veteran who helped some of the biggest names in music. She can count Lil Uzi Vert, Childish Gambino, and Future among her most famous clients, via Billboard. Lee and Lil Uzi Vert have been together since very early in the singer’s career, continuing through with his breakout hits like the guest appearance on Migos’ “Bad and Boujee.” In an interview with Vibe, Lil Uzi Vert gave Lee the highest respect and praise. “She definitely is the best engineer. Yeah, she’s a girl. Like the best engineer. The best.” The rapper said she engineered his entire first album, Luv Is Rage.

Lee revealed what it’s like to work with Lil Uzi Vert in an interview for Sound on Sound. “There were a couple of occasions where a producer would come in and Uzi would help them make a beat, or he’d do the drums,” she said. It’s apparently a crowded room but the crew still pumps out hits, “Uzi will have all his friends in the studio, but just the three of us work on the music. Cannon makes beats or he will play more of an executive producer role, where he gets beats from other people. Uzi does his own thing.” Lee went on that he can keep going without hearing any background music and still syncs when the beat comes back. “He will do this totally intuitively,” Lee said.

The varied musical influences of Lil Uzi Vert

From an early age, Lil Uzi Vert played in the music scene, telling Narduwar that he “played the cornet first,” before moving on to the trumpet. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Lil Uzi Vert talked about other musicians that inspired him when he was younger, like “Ying Yang Twins and Mike Jones,” and “[Philly] guys like Beanie Sigel, too.” But it wasn’t just rappers. The mag noted that “Lil Uzi Vert’s vocal ideas are influenced by a youth absorbing hard rock and emo bands like Paramore, Flyleaf and My Chemical Romance.” Lil Uzi Vert definitely enjoys Paramore, proven by a video of him bopping along to the band’s hit “Ain’t It Fun” in a car.

“In my elementary days, I took a liking to rock and roll music,” Lil Uzi Vert told Rolling Stone, adding, “I dabbed into Marilyn Manson, which became my favorite.” Of his own original tunes, he said, “I just take rock songs and mix it with hip-hop and a little bit of R&B.” And don’t forget about Backstreet Boys. Lil Uzi Vert released the single “That Way,” which reinterprets the iconic ’90s hit “I Want It That Way.” Supah Mario, who produced the beat, told Splice that the boy band choice completely surprised him. “How does Uzi find a way to use Backstreet Boys on a record?” When he finally heard the song with vocals, Supah Mario confessed, “Oh, yeah, this might be a hit.”

Lil Uzi Vert retired in his early twenties

At the start of 2019, at seemingly the peak of his career, Lil Uzi Vert dropped everything and retired from the music scene. As reported by Complex, the rapper posted on his Instagram story, “I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supporters but I’m done with music I deleted everything I wanna be normal … I wanna wake up in 2013.” Fans were understandably shocked. Two months later, Lil Uzi Vert resurfaced on Instagram Live with unheard music. But it turns out the tune was just an unreleased cut from early in his career. According to XXL, the singer reiterated that he was still retired, saying, “I don’t music no more but y’all can have this old stuff.”

Only a few weeks later, XXL reported that Lil Uzi Vert was back in the studio and actually signed to one of the biggest record labels in the business, Jay-Z’s lucrative Roc Nation. Fitting, given that the label executive himself retired and unretired from music in the past.

Upon reflection, it appears Lil Uzi Vert came to his decision of an early exit through emotions. When GQ asked why the rapper briefly quit music, he responded, “I dunno, just how I felt. That’s all. I just wanted to be more normal.”

Sorry, Cupid Shuffle, but Lil Uzi Vert has the new moves

Everyone knows Lil Uzi Vert can rap but did you ever think of him as a dancer? Although he never shied away from dancing — even at the end of interviews with Nardwuar — things didn’t really heat up until the end of 2018. As recounted by Pitchfork, Lil Uzi Vert and Dallas rapper 10k.Caash showed off their moves in an Instagram post by the young Texan. The two were performing “The Woah,” which went “from a regional thing to a bona fide internet phenomenon with everyone from fashion influencer Luka Sabbat to a self-promoting Chance the Rapper uploading videos of themselves hitting the move.”

Lil Uzi Vert periodically posted other videos of him dancing to social media, sometimes just his feet. Though seemingly cryptic at first, this all led up to Lil Uzi Vert making his very own dance move. In 2020, the rapper released his song “Futsal Shuffle 2020” with an accompanying music video. With his song in the background, Lil Uzi Vert shows off his impressive footwork and teaches the rest of the world how to replicate the sequence. Have you tried learning the Futsal Shuffle?

The making of Lil Uzi Vert's iconic single

2017 was a great year for Lil Uzi Vert on the Billboard charts. He and Migos topped the Hot 100 list for their hit “Bad and Boujee.” His album Luv Is Rage 2 topped the Billboard 200, and his iconic song “XO TOUR Llif3” reached number seven on the Hot 100. The song not only performed well on the charts but also received glowing critical reviews. As The New York Times described it, the “lyrics are sharp and vivid when he wants them to be,” which “helped make the song a crossover pop hit.” The review concluded, “It doesn’t get better.”

“The unlikely story of this song began when Lil Uzi Vert took a stage dive into a Geneva, Switzerland crowd in February, losing two phones filled with unreleased material amid the throng,” reported Pitchfork. The outlet went on to explain that “Instead of fretting, [Lil Uzi Vert] simply leaked everything he recorded for his debut album, including ‘XO TOUR Llif3.'” Pitchfork also praised the impact of the song on the music industry, and named it the number ten best song of the 2010s. The summary said, “The single was included as part of a throwaway four-track EP that was meant to fill time leading up to” Luv Is Rage 2. As far as the song’s construction goes, Pitchfork noted that “producer TM88 recorded using an old computer and a Beats Pill,” which contributed to the beat’s DIY aesthetic.

Motivation for Lil Uzi Vert's music

Despite all the fame and critical success, Lil Uzi Vert is still a young rap star with a pretty humble goal for his career. In a 2015 profile by XXL, the then-up-and-coming rapper admitted, “I’m not going to sit here and be like I want to win a Grammy or whatever; if that comes, that’s awesome. But I just want to be successful and provide for my whole family and get my family out the hood.

Similarly, in a 2019 interview with GQ, he said “I like making music, and I like making people happy, but the music is whatever, bro.” So, why does he continue to pump out songs and records? “I really do it just to make my family happy. Like, it’s just something for my family to talk about,” the “Do What I Want” rapper confessed. That same year, he posted on Twitter about his grandma who had been in the hospital for months. “IF YOU DONT KNOW THATS WHO RAISE ME,” he powerfully expressed, adding, “I love my grandma more than Clothes.” He further explained in another post that he had a difficult time dealing with the scenario and that he “needed privacy” and “Family comfort because [he] just didn’t understand.”

Lil Uzi Vert's selective love

Lil Uzi Vert’s first public profession was for Dej Loaf, the Detroit rapper best known for her song “Try Me.” Speaking with XXL, Lil Uzi Vert confessed, “I’m in love with Dej Loaf. I got a whole song dedicated to her basically and she heard it.” The song in question is called “Dej Loaf,” which he released on SoundCloud in 2015 and helped introduce the world to his signature flow. The rapper said he actually got to meet Dej Loaf, and even called their interaction “destiny.” He said, “I saw everybody like once or twice but with her I bumped into her like five, six, seven times.” And his admiration is more than just surface level. “I don’t even like women rappers honestly, but … The way that she rap, she rap about real s**t,” he said. Lil Uzi Vert said he and Dej Loaf’s hometowns were not so different and so “we definitely connected.”

It seems Lil Uzi Vert may not have this same level of admiration for all female musicians. In fact, singer Grimes said the rapper totally neglected her. “He asked me to produce an EP for him once, and then I sent him the WeTransfer and he never downloaded it,” she told Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show. “And I was like, ‘Dude, I spent two weeks on this.'” she said, although she seemed to laugh the whole thing off.

The fuel that keeps Lil Uzi Vert going

For an interview focused around Lil Uzi Vert’s obsession with fashion, the rapper inadvertently revealed his love of particular comfort foods. As GQ described, during a photoshoot in a Brooklyn grocery store, Lil Uzi Vert stopped everything when a special something caught his eye. That is, “his discovery of Entenmann’s Little Bites ‘Party Cakes’ flavor, which, according to Uzi, ‘you can’t find all the time,'” the article explained. Apparently, Lil Uzi Vert called himself “the fakest pescatarian,” which really alluded to his love of junk food. The scene unfolded as follows, with Lil Uzi Vert running “through the aisles, grabbing Flavor Blasted pizza Goldfish here and $1.75 pound cakes there, periodically tossing items into his bodyguard’s basket.”

In a video for GQ on the ten things Lil Uzi Vert said he cannot live without, snacks naturally made an appearance. He again hyped up the special mini muffins from the baked goods brand, Entenmann’s, “Sometimes they’re in season. Sometimes they’re not.” When he finds this holy grail of snacks, how much does he eat? “Two boxes probably in a day.” He added, “I’m allergic to chocolate. So, my friends in the trap, they introduced me to these.” And the rapper agreed when the interviewer described its taste as “the moistest Funfetti muffin I’ve ever had.” “Exactly,” Lil Uzi Vert said.

How much is Lil Uzi Vert worth?

In 2018, Forbes estimated Lil Uzi Vert’s net worth at $19.5 million. The publication cited “more than 3.5 billion streaming spins” over the year. But aside from streams, he became one of the highest grossing acts in hip-hop for the year “thanks to the maturation of his touring business, playing 76 shows in our scoring period.” With his third album, Eternally Awake, Lil Uzi Vert is likely to cash even more checks.

And how does he spend his cash? Lil Uzi Vert makes it clear in most of his songs how much money he makes and how he loves to burn through it. Predictably, he buys expensive clothes and accessories. For example, Lil Uzi Vert talked in a GQ video about his favorite blanket, a $1000 Y/Project version. “If it’s nice, I’ll buy anything,” he said.

In a feature story for GQ, the rapper said his “ultimate goal is buying a Bugatti” — the elite supercar. Although he admitted “it would be a psychotic thing to do” even just for the maintenance costs of the car, the singer said, “I just want it, bro! It looks so nice. Like, I’m one of those types of guys. I have to buy everything.” According to the article, Lil Uzi Vert’s dream came true when he bought a $1.7 million Bugatti Veyron from the legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather.

The truth about Billie Eilish’s obsession with The Office

Billie Eilish is famous for many reasons, including her impressive singing ability, her distinctive style, and her historic Grammys sweep. One thing you may not know about the 18-year-old singer is that she’s absolutely obsessed with The Office. Stars: They’re just like us!

As of May 2019, Eilish had seen the show 12 times (though we’re sure that number has increased since then). By this point, she knows the show so well that she has all the scenes memorized (via Variety). She’s even featured The Office in her music.

Rainn Wilson, who played Dwight Schrute on The Office, once quizzed Eilish on her knowledge of the show for Billboard. Before diving into the trivia, he asked her: “In all seriousness, how have you watched the show 12 times and you have an album and you’re headlining arenas?” Honestly, that’s a great question. Let’s dive into just how Billie Eilish manages to feed obsession with The Office in the midst of her busy music career.

Billie Eilish pretty much watches 'The Office' constantly

In an interview with Variety, Billie Eilish explained that she watches TV on her phone — A LOT. “I’m actually almost always watching something on my phone, all the time. Like day in and day out, I’m watching something,” she told the outlet. “And it’s normally The Office.”

Eilish talked to Rainn Wilson about just how faithfully she watches the show, explaining that she’s tuned in “As soon as I wake up and when I brush my teeth and when I go to the bathroom, when I take baths and s**t (via Billboard). Based on that information, it’s a bit easier to understand how Eilish has managed to watch the show so many times. Considering the fact that Eilish has seen all nine seasons of The Office at least a dozen times, it’s not surprising that she can now identify which scene is playing simply by listening to the audio — which she does, sometimes, for fun.

“If I hear the audio, I’m picturing what the scene is,” she told Variety. “Yesterday, I had my phone lying face down on my bed and I was drawing, and it was just the audio from The Office. I was listening to the audio!”

Billie Eilish sampled 'The Office' in one of her songs

Given the fact that Billie Eilish is an award-winning songwriter who watches (and listens to) The Office on a very consistent basis, it’s only natural that she would eventually be inspired to include The Office in her music.

Eilish’s song “my strange addiction” from the 2019 album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? features multiple samples of audio from The Office. The samples come from the episode “Threat Level Midnight,” according to Rolling Stone. Eilish used dialogue from the episode at the beginning of the song and throughout the track. Fellow diehard Office fans will recognize the voices of Michael Scott (Steve Carell), Jim Halpert (John Krasinski), Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak) and Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling).

“When we made the beat for ‘my strange addiction,’ it reminded me of the song they play when they do the Scarn dance,” Eilish explained to MTV, referencing a dance that the characters do in the episode. “I thought that was really funny, so we literally just ripped the audio from Netflix and put it in the song, not at all thinking that they would say yes to it and we’d be able to put it out. Also, it’s about strange addictions, and The Office is mine, so…”

Billie Eilish has met multiple alums from 'The Office'

Former cast members of The Office love that Billie Eilish used their show in her music. Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, told Ellen DeGeneres that he “got a lot of cred, especially with my daughter” because of the sample. Angela Kinsey, who played Angela Martin, also felt like Eilish’s nod to the show made the cast seem cooler (if that’s even possible). “I love that she sampled The Office,” Kinsey said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “Maybe it gives us street cred, I don’t know. We’re not very hip.”

The singer has met some alumni from the cast, including Kinsey, and, like any Office fan, she took a photo with Kinsey and posted it to her Instagram. In the shot, the singer was visibly excited, flashing a somewhat rare smile. When she met Rainn Wilson in 2019, the actor quizzed Eilish on her Office knowledge. Questions included the name of Jan’s candle company and the full name of the charity 5K fun run. Eilish did a great job, earning a special handmade reward that looked like the one from the show’s “Office Olympics” episode — yogurt lid and all. For an ultimate fan like Eilish, it was surely the perfect prize.

TV and Movies

The untold truth of John Cho’s wife

Korean-American actor John Cho has been perfecting his craft for decades, popping up in quite a few popular movies and television shows over the years. While he’s got a very impressive resume, Cho is best known for his roles as Harold Lee in the Harold & Kumar movies and Hikaru Sulu in the Star Trek reboot series.

In 2004, the first Harold & Kumar movie, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, provided Cho with his big break, allowing him the opportunity to go from background actor to leading man. By the time the second Harold & Kumar film hit theaters in 2008, Cho’s life had changed in more ways than one. In addition to being offered bigger and better roles, Cho also met the love of his life, wife Kerri Higuchi.

According to Glamour, the two met while attending UC Berkeley and then began dating after they both found their way to Los Angeles. Cho told Glamour that his wife’s confidence is what initially drew her to him. “She knows who she is,” Cho said. “I knew nothing about that. I was so unsettled at that age and so scatterbrained. It’s beautiful when you see a person who’s self-assured and knows who she is.”

Considering the fact that Cho tends to shy away from questions about Higuchi in interviews — only offering a rare gem here and there — we don’t know a whole lot about the couple’s super private relationship. That being said, here’s what we were able to find out about John Cho’s wife.

John Cho's wife spent some time in the spotlight

While John Cho has been gracing our screens for years now, he’s not the only one with a lengthy resume filled with acting credits. Cho’s wife, Kerri Higuchi, landed her first gig back in 1998, appearing in a short called, World Inside Me. Since then, she’s appeared on several notable television shows including, ER, Parks and Recreation and Grey’s Anatomy.

The majority of her gigs were one-off appearances, but Higuchi did land a recurring role on Grey’s Anatomy, appearing on the show as OB/GYN Elizabeth Chen in seasons one and six. Fun fact: Higuchi’s hubby also had a turn at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, showing up as Dr. Marshall Stone in season two.

For a time, Higuchi was regularly booking gigs. However, at the time of this writing, her most acting credit is an appearance on Scandal back in 2015. That’s because, these days, she’s focusing on raising her kiddos with Cho telling Glamour, “She’s mainly a stay-at-home mom.” After Cho and Higuchi tied the knot in 2006, the couple welcomed two children into the world. Their first child, a boy, was born in 2008, and their daughter was born in 2013.

While it’s unclear whether or not Higuchi will start acting again once her kids get a little older, it’s evident that Cho equally respects his wife as an actor and a mother. “She’s such a good actor,” he told Glamour. “I’ve learned a lot from her.” Aww, way to give credit where credit is due, John!

The untold truth of James Lipton

James Lipton, the longtime host of the wildly popular Bravo series, Inside the Actors Studio, died on March 2, 2020, after a battle with bladder cancer, TMZ reports. He was 93.

According to Lipton’s wife, Kedakai Turner, the dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University passed away peacefully at this home in New York City. “There are so many James Lipton stories, but I’m sure he would like to be remembered as someone who loved what he did and had tremendous respect for all the people he worked with,” she told the publication. His wife also released in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, “He lived each day as if it were his last. His work was his passion, loved what he did and all the people he worked with. He empowered people to do their best, and hopefully, his spirit, curiosity, and passion will live on.”

Indeed, the beloved theater academic and TV star had sat down with hundreds of award-winning actors, who shared the secrets of the craft to audiences, between 1994 and his retirement in 2018. But what else do we know about the host with the iconic and eloquent voice (that Will Ferrell famously spoofed on Saturday Night Live)? Let’s sit down and find out the untold truth of James Lipton.

You'll never guess James Lipton's early Parisian career

There’s no way to break this gently: James Lipton used to be pimp … and we don’t mean in the figurative sense. During a 2013 interview with Parade, Lipton confirmed that he ran a “roaring” bordello in Paris “a few years after” WWII. “Paris was different then, still poor. Men couldn’t get jobs and, in the male chauvinist Paris of that time, the women couldn’t get work at all,” he said. “It was perfectly respectable for them to go into le milieu.” Lipton went on to say, “There was no opprobrium because it was completely regulated. Every week they had to be inspected medically.”

So, how did Lipton get involved? Noting that he didn’t exploit any of the sex workers, but only “took a cut” acting as their agent, he added that he’d entered the business after developing a friendship with one of the women. “We became great friends. When I ran out of money, I said, ‘I have to go home.’ She said, ‘No, you don’t. I’ll arrange for you.’ So she arranged for me to do it,” Lipton said. “I had to be okayed by the underworld; otherwise they would’ve found me floating in the Seine.”

James Lipton gave us wings

Not only did James Lipton boast unmatched skills as an interviewer, he was also an accomplished pilot who earned his wings in 1980. Speaking with The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) in 2013, he revealed that he’d “always wanted to fly” and ended up joining the military to become a pilot, before ultimately leaving service in a post-war world and studying law.

Unable to knock his passion for aviation, Lipton enrolled in flight school at East Hampton Airport years later, where he earned his AOPA lapel pin by “training primarily in a Cessna 152 and 172,” per the AOPA. In over three decades of recreational flying, Lipton logged “1,000-plus hours” — but the journey wasn’t always smooth sailing. During the interview, Lipton recounted a memorable 1956 flight over Alaska’s mountainous Iditarod Trail in the middle of a snowstorm, when the engine temporarily cut out. Per the outlet, the longtime pilot proceeded to “put the airplane in a steep slip” to unblock and restart the engine. In his own words, “No airplane engine has ever sounded louder — or more beautiful.”

However, sometimes his love for aviation got in the way of his discussions on Inside the Actors Studio. “We get anyone on the show who’s a pilot, we bore people with it,” Lipton quipped, before name-dropping the likes of Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Angelina Jolie, and John Travolta. “Once I get them up on the stage, we just forget about the audience and talk about airplanes.”

The interview that made James Lipton 'burst into tears'

During a 1999 episode of Inside the Actors Studio, a young second-year actor of the studio asked Oscar-winning guest Sean Penn about revisiting a character he’d played before in the stage and film versions of Hurly Burly. That actor? A Star Is Born‘s star and director Bradley Cooper. In a true full circle moment, Cooper returned to Inside the Actors Studio as an interviewee and a bonafide star twelve years later. He teared up multiple times during the interview, telling the audience (via The Washington Post), “I’m a loud crier. I’m not like a sobber … I’m like a — it’s ugly, so I apologize.”

Cooper’s triumphant — and emotional — return also happened to be James Lipton’s proudest (and equally emotional) moment. “What I’ve waited for is that one of my graduated students has achieved so much that he walks out and sits down on that chair next to me,” he told Parade in 2013. “It happened when Bradley Cooper walked out on that stage. We looked at each other and burst into tears. It was one of the greatest nights of my life.”

His absentee father informed his career choice

“My parents broke up when I was 6,” James Lipton told the Philadelphia Inquirer back in 2002. His father, beat poet and author Lawrence Lipton, had abandoned the family, as his son explained: “I saw him when I was 12 and again when I was 20.” However, Lipton’s father’s absence didn’t just cause psychological wounds — it caused economic problems, as well, for a young Lipton growing up in a poor section of Detroit.

Speaking with Parade, the Inside the Actors Studio interviewer revealed that he got his first job at the age of 13, because he and his mother, teacher and librarian Betty Weinberg, “had nothing.” And so after his stint in the Air Force, Lipton decided to distance himself from his absentee dad even further by choosing a career path that wouldn’t be beat poet-approved: “I was going to be a lawyer because that was as far away from my father’s lunacy that I could imagine. He was nuts. He abandoned us. I was afraid of being like that.”

However, little did he know, his plan to be a lawyer would lead him to his first love. “I thought, ‘I’d better take some acting classes if I’m going to earn a living so I can be a lawyer,'” Lipton explained. “Stella Adler accepted me for her [drama] class. About five years later, I said to myself, ‘Stop kidding. You don’t want to be a lawyer. This is what you want to do.'”

Marlon Brando gave James Lipton second thoughts

Stella Adler’s classes paid off for James Lipton, landing him roles in Broadway productions and on the soap opera, Guiding Light, in 1952 (via the Philadelphia Inquirer). But a single trip to the movies one fateful day made the young actor reevaluate his silver screen dreams: “I saw Marlon [Brando] in the movies, and I knew I couldn’t do that.”

Following a brief 47-year hiatus, Lipton returned to acting with guest appearances on several television shows, including According to Jim and Arrested Development. He also wrote three television movies in the ’80s and produced several Bob Hope specials. And in a full-circle moment, Lipton sought to get Marlon Brando to sit down with him on Inside the Actors Studio, but the legendary actor refused. “He was reclusive in the last years of his life,” Lipton explained to Parade. “He said, ‘I’m never going to do your show. The [Actors] Studio’s always taking credit for me. I was trained by Stella Adler.’ I said, ‘So was I. Come on. We’ll talk about Stella.'” Still, as Lipton noted, “I’ve had a pretty good roster of guests without Marlon.”

James Lipton and the worst of everything?

When you think of daytime soap operas, you think of such long-running classics like The Bold and the BeautifulThe Young and the Restless, and General Hospital. Even if you don’t partake in the soaps circuit, you could probably rattle off those titles, if asked. But we can almost guarantee you’d never guess the former ABC soap, The Best of Everything. That’s because, according to TV Insider, the 1970 series about “four young secretaries working at a bustling publishing firm” and starring screen legend Joan Crawford only lasted six months.

We can’t say that James Lipton was responsible for the series’ failure, but he did serve as the head writer and even co-wrote the theme song! That said, per We Love Soaps, Lipton’s short-lived foray into daytime soaps might have been less of an issue of quality and more a problem of unfortunate timing. “In the first four years of the 1970s there was a brutal daytime soap opera massacre,” the site reads, listing off six soaps (including The Best of Everything) that were all canceled between “March 1973 to February 1974.”

What was James Lipton's net worth?

As previously mentioned, James Lipton grew up poor. “When your father’s a poet and your mother’s a teacher, there’s not much money, not much food in the larder,” the famed interviewer told Playbill in 2004. “I became an amateur actor at 13 in Catholic theatre in Detroit. When I came to New York, I acted to support myself and my mother, who was then retired.”

However, by the time of his death in March 2020, the Inside the Actors Studio star didn’t need to worry about having enough food. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lipton left behind a reported fortune of $6 million. Since the multi-hyphenate had no children, we can assume his wife of over 40 years, Kedakai Turner Lipton, would inherit his estate.

“We met at the ballet. I took one look at her and I fell madly in love,” Lipton revealed to Parade in 2013. “I called her the next day and asked her to have dinner with me. Nine months later we were married.” When asked how his happy marriage had lasted so long, Lipton replied, “Because Kedakai is a masterpiece.”

The untold truth of Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi

Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend, Australian actor Jacob Elordi, instantly became Netflix’s boyfriend thanks to his role in teen rom-com The Kissing Booth. Adding fuel to the fire, Elordi and onscreen girlfriend Joey King subsequently enjoyed an IRL romance, leaving fans weak at the knees over how their irresistible chemistry had spilled over. It seems Elordi is making a habit of dating his castmates as a rumored dalliance with Euphoria co-star Zendaya soon had fans salivating once again.

The proud Aussie is the man of the moment, but it’s easy to forget he hasn’t actually been in the spotlight that long. The Kissing Booth was his breakout role, but, before that, there were a couple of shorts and… not much else. In stark contrast with other male stars in his bracket, the Brisbane native isn’t even hugely active on social media. Thus, Elordi remains something of a question mark, meaning there are plenty of juicy things to discover when delving deep into his life.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi was practically homeless before booking Euphoria

Although The Kissing Booth was a major hit with fans and catapulted Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi from barely-known actor to no. 1 crush, booking that one movie didn’t exactly solve all his problems. He regaled GQ Australia with how broke was immediately after. The actor was actually about to leave Los Angeles for good and head back home to Australia because he was couch surfing/living in his car and his visa was about to expire when his next big role in Euphoria came along.

As he revealed to Collider, it happened at exactly the right moment. He admitted, “I was essentially homeless when I auditioned for it.” Likewise, he’s aware his upwards trajectory since then has been quite bizarre since it all happened so quickly. Still, Elordi reckons that desperation, which was reportedly keenly felt by the rest of the cast, too, helped them connect more deeply with their characters. “We were all in these places that were just this very classic Hollywood existence, so maybe it read on our faces that we were dying for it,” he suggested. Thankfully, it all worked out and the rest is history.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi isn't bothered by scenes in which the stars reveal all

Euphoria is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to showing the often too real lives of American teenagers. From drug use to rampant sex, there’s nothing the writers shy away from. However, when it comes to sharing scenes with naked extras, Jacob Elordi isn’t bothered. Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend told The Hollywood Reporter of one particular locker room-based sequence, saying, “For me, it was interesting because that scene was actually very real, and the look on my face and the way that I was feeling was very real. The energy in the room of that many big men jumping and yelling and slapping you … it was so intense.”

The Aussie found the sequence quite fun to shoot, admitting he found it pretty amusing, all things considered. Elordi takes issue with critics calling for the censorship of certain images, too, arguing, “I don’t care about that kind of stuff, and it’s funny reading all of the reviews now…” If nothing else, it was a memorable moment for him as an actor that won’t be topped any time soon.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi wasn't ready to become a mega-star

The Kissing Booth increased Jacob Elordi’s social media following to a few million practically overnight, which caught the actor totally off guard. As Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend explained to Wonderland, although Elordi was grateful for the attention brought by the role, he wasn’t prepared for the intensity of it. Rather than worrying about clinging to that new identity to push his profile further, however, Elordi deliberately sought out work like Euphoria.

“I was kind of hoping that some people would start to dislike me — I was so excited to shed the skin of what everyone thought about me,” he told GQ Australia frankly. The Aussie native is quick to point out he’s grateful for any jobs that come his way, and he didn’t necessarily see Euphoria as purely a corrective to his fluffy rom-com past, either. “I wanted to make things like Euphoria before I even came to Hollywood… There was no change in my brain where I was like, ‘OK now I need to do serious work,'” he said simply.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi worried about mastering an American accent

The majority of Jacob Elordi fans will know him for The Kissing Booth and Euphoria, neither of which allowed the Brisbane star to utilize his native accent. But most people are not even aware he’s an Aussie because Elordi’s American intonation is so convincing. And yet, Elordi was terrified he wouldn’t be able to do it, going so far as telling Entertainment Weekly that getting it right even in his toughest scenes was his biggest achievement from Euphoria‘s first season.

“Before I started the show … one of my qualms was like, ‘Oh, man, I don’t know if I’m going to be able to do an American accent.’ I knew I could do one but my fear was that I would just forget and be stupid,” Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend revealed. However, Elordi’s mother told their local paper, The Courier Mail, her son has been practicing for over a decade. She proudly confirmed Elordi’s American accent has been perfect since he was a kid, advising, “He was in grade four, and for show and tell he rapped an Eminem song. He just loved that American accent.”

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi has been acting since he was 12 years old

It shouldn’t surprise anybody to learn the acting talent Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi has was clear when he was still a youngster. As his mother told The Courier Mail, Elordi was just 12 when she knew he had a real gift. “His school did a production of Seussical and Jacob was The Cat in the Hat. He was so confident and so funny, and even then he had such a strong self-belief,” she recalled.

That indestructible self confidence was present when Elordi’s parents met with his L.A. manager in Sydney, just a few years before his big move across the world. Although the manager advised him to win a Logie (an Australian TV award) to up his profile before trying his hand in Hollywood, as Elordi’s father recounted, his ambitious son was more interested in bagging an Oscar. “He told me once that he wanted to win one and I said something like, ‘You know that’s a one-in-a-million chance?’ Jacob looked me dead in the eye and said, ‘Someone has to be that one,'” he recalled.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi had to learn this for The Kissing Booth

Plenty of young actors, particularly hot up-and-comers, are too afraid of wrecking their beautiful faces to get involved in any major stunts on set. But not Jacob Elordi, who proudly told Just Jared Jr., “On the set of The Kissing Booth, I learned how to ride a motorbike and have been obsessed since.” Elordi even followed up with a personal message, advising, “Mum, if you’re reading this… I’m buying a motorbike.” Hopefully Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend can be just as impressive on the streets as he was onscreen.

Elordi is reportedly a model stunt partner, too, as evidenced during the infamous choking scene in Euphoria, which his co-star Alexa Demie described to The Hollywood Reporter as incredibly difficult to film. The actress acknowledged she’s grateful her hardest sequences in the hit show have been with Elordi as, “He’s a really sweet person and really professional and easy to work with, so that made it better.”

Jacob Elordi, Zendaya's rumored boyfriend, got a concussion while shooting this fight scene

Unfortunately, another major stunt in Euphoria didn’t end too well for the consummate professional. As Jacob Elordi told Entertainment Weekly, the fight/breakdown scene with onscreen father and former Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane was “physically grueling” for both actors. As the Aussie explained, he and Dane are close enough that they trusted each other to give the scene everything they had. And, because they really did go for it, Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend ended up getting pretty banged up from the shoot. Of his injuries, he acknowledged some gashes were later visible on a magazine cover.

“I was bleeding. I got a concussion. I ended up throwing up after work. It was gnarly. It was really, really gnarly,” he recalled. Thankfully, the scene was at the end of his shooting period, so Elordi could take time to recover afterwards. He doesn’t regret it either, noting, “It was definitely the most fulfilling thing that I’ve sort of ever shot.”

Jacob Elordi reckons Zendaya is "the ultimate artist"

Jacob Elordi’s rumored relationship with Zendaya is mostly kept under wraps, so little is known about when (or really if) they made it official, under what circumstances, or even how they really feel about each other. The Euphoria stars reportedly hooked up after the first season wrapped, according to E! News. An insider tantalizingly shared that the two were hanging out constantly and were super close, revealing in February 2020, “They have been inseparable since last summer and have been making time for each other in between projects,” the insider noted. Jacob has met Zendaya’s family and everyone adores him. They have a lot of fun together and have a lot in common.”

As the tabloid lens glare got hotter, the Aussie actor broke down and offered a little nugget of info in an interview with W magazine. Members of the press were warned not to ask Elordi anything about his relationship with Zendaya specifically, but Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend did discuss what it was like working with Zendaya, gushing, “It’s incredible, you know? She’s the ultimate artist.”

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi is "so arrogant" about his hometown

Brisbane native or proud “Brissy,” as the parlance goes, Jacob Elordi once laid awake in his bed as a 16-year-old college student and aspiring actor, unable to sleep because he was tortured by the idea he’d never make it to Hollywood or even appear in a movie. As a piece in The Courier Mail detailed, acting was always his plan A and Elordi refused to even consider a plan B. Naturally, he eventually made it, but there was a time Brisbane felt incredibly limiting to Elordi.

However, living so far away in Los Angeles has made the actor super homesick, offering the clarity to appreciate his hometown for how great it really is. “I’m so arrogant about Brisbane when I’m in LA,” Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend admitted, acknowledging, “I tell everyone I’m from Brissy and it’s the best place on earth.” Unfortunately, for a kid who couldn’t wait to flee Australia for America, now that he’s living across the world, Elordi realizes he’d rather be surrounded by loved ones back home.

Jacob Elordi's role in Euphoria changed him forever

Aside from introducing him to rumored girlfriend Zendaya, Euphoria changed Jacob Elordi’s life in another major way too. As he told Wonderland, it’s a wonder he even got the role as he forgot his lines at the first casting call. Never mind the fact, at the time, “I had no name, I had no backing, you could not find any video of me acting anywhere.” Luckily, he got the part regardless, and it’s changed him for the better as an actor.

“Even when we were making it, what I thought he was when I auditioned to what we finished with character-wise, I never could have hoped or dreamed for anything as brilliant or as engaging. The character changed as we made the show,” he gushed of the complex Nate. Likewise, for Elordi, he’s noticed both physical and mental changes in himself through portraying Nate and spending so long inside his arguably twisted head that, he hopes, shine through in his performance.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi thinks his Kissing Booth character is "awful"

Although it gave Jacob Elordi a plethora of new fans, The Kissing Booth wasn’t well-received by critics (it sits at just 17 percent on review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes) and certain commentators felt the relationship between King’s character, Elle, and Elordi’s Noah was borderline problematic. As it turns out, the man himself couldn’t agree more. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the Aussie actor acknowledged The Kissing Booth was his breakout role, for which he’s eternally “grateful,” but that doesn’t change the dodgy characterization of Noah.

However, Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend sees Euphoria and the intricately contradictory character of Nate as “righting my wrongs a little bit” because, as far as Elordi is concerned, “The character in The Kissing Booth is awful and it’s never really explained.” The actor went on to clarify how the unexplained idolization of Noah is left unchecked, while Euphoria actually shows why, and how, that kind of blind hero worship happens to a certain type of young man.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi has no interest in being a heartthrob

For a man who looks, well, like that and who booked a Calvin Klein ad off the back off those looks, as breathlessly reported by GQ Australia, it seems like Jacob Elordi is pretty comfortable with his status as a bonafide heartthrob. But that’s not so, as the Aussie actor told Wonderland in no uncertain terms, “For me personally, I abhor it… I abhor the idea of it…”

The Euphoria star acknowledged, “That’s probably why everyone is always trying to go against the grain when these things happen to you, because I don’t think anyone — unless you’re a complete psychopath — walks around thinking that you’re some kind of something…” He argued it’s not conducive to a healthy career or life, as the so-called “heartthrob” status is incredibly limiting. As Elordi explained, it prevents people from taking him seriously as a performer because they’re so preoccupied with his looks.

Again, Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend appreciates the attention, but Elordi isn’t interested in being praised for anything besides his acting chops.

How Jacob Elordi, Zendaya's rumored boyfriend, chooses his roles

Aside from refusing to allow his career be defined by how good he looks in a pair of underpants, Jacob Elordi is careful to choose roles that appeal to him in a variety of ways, rather than simply looking to extend his time in the spotlight or even to pay the bills (which might go some way towards explaining why he almost ended up on the street before booking Euphoria). The actor explained his outlook simply to Collider as, “I just wanna work on something that makes me wanna get out of bed in the morning.”

Elaborating on how he chooses projects, Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend explained, “I want to do work that I genuinely enjoy because the time that you spend acting, between action and cut, is a minute.” Speaking from experience (though he didn’t give away which particular project, or even projects, he was referring to), as the Aussie native sees it, spending up to 20 hours a day in a world you hate, doing work that doesn’t appeal to you, is completely soul-destroying.

Zendaya's rumored boyfriend Jacob Elordi doesn't have a plan for his career

Jacob Elordi may know exactly how to approach his work, but that doesn’t mean he’s got some grand plan for how his career is going to turn out. In a GQ Australia profile appropriately headlined, “Jacob Elordi is Only Just Getting Started,” he shared, “I don’t really feel like I’m building a career or trying to be this kind of actor or that kind of actor.” As the Kissing Booth star explained, his main goal is to have a “fulfilling” career that hopefully speaks to audiences, too.

Outside of that, Zendaya’s rumored boyfriend isn’t pushed on what everybody else thinks of him. However, Elordi admitted to still feeling as though he has something to prove. Thankfully, he’s finally in a place in his life where he can take pride in the work he’s put out there. After the one-two punch of The Kissing Booth and Euphoria made him into an instantaneous star, he admitted, “It’s been a blur and it’s definitely a version of living the dream. But it’s starting to feel a little more normal now.”

The untold truth of Rose McGowan

With her breakout role in the smash hit, Scream, Rose McGowan was poised to become a leading lady for decades to come. However, those dreams were shattered by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, who allegedly raped the actress during the 1997 Sundance Film Festival and blacklisted her from opportunities to build on her early success. But with a single tweet in 2016 about a studio executive whose predatory behavior was “an open secret in Hollywood/Media,” McGowan caught the attention of investigative reporter Ronan Farrow.

A year later, she was among the first accusers to go on record for Farrow’s bombshell report in The New Yorker, following The New York Times’ shocking exposé on Weinstein, which led to a deluge of more than 80 women coming forward with their own Weinstein allegations that defined the #MeToo movement. McGowan took up that mantle and has since shown no signs up putting it down. “Men in general, and the bad women out there, hate [me] now at their own peril,” she told Elle in 2018. “Because what I’ve done is give a voice to women, to show them that it’s okay to be angry. People are terrified of me — they’re so threatened by somebody being angry because you know what? You’re angry, too.”

But what else do we know about this “Silence Breaker” who helped slay a Hollywood monster? Here’s the untold truth of Rose McGowan.

Rose McGowan's early life with a cult

Rose McGowan’s parents were members of The Children of God cult — in which actors River and Joaquin Phoenix were also raised. It has since become infamous for allegations of child sexual abuse (via BBC News).

Speaking with Elle in 2018, McGowan called the religious sect “patriarchal” and rife with disturbing misogyny. “I would look at them [the women] at a very young age, and look at him [her father] and look at them, and I would just think, What? You’re worshiping that?” she said. “It didn’t make any sense. I vowed never to worship a man.” When she was 10, McGowan’s family left the cult and relocated to Gig Harbor, Wash. She previously told People, “As strong as I like to think I’ve always been, I’m sure I could have been broken. I know I got out by the skin of my teeth.”

From there, McGowan landed her first job — working at a funeral home at 14 years old. “That’s where I learned set decor and lighting. I’d try to get a vibe off a dead body,” she quipped to Elle. “But looking back, I could’ve lived without seeing certain things. I’ve had a lot of trauma.”

Rose McGowan suffered a tragic loss

At the age of 18, Rose McGowan began dating Chrysalis Music Group A&R exec and rave club owner Brett Cantor — but tragedy struck two years later. Cantor was found dead inside his Hollywood home of multiple stab wounds at the age of 25 in 1993. When Variety reported on his death, law enforcement officials could not establish a motive. At the time of this writing, the case remains unsolved.

Cantor’s death received national attention a year later, when O.J. Simpson’s lawyers asked Judge Ito to review his case due to the nature of his murder. According to New York Magazine, the move was perceived as a desperate attempt to find an alibi and “establish a serial killer,” but an LAPD spokesperson called this “a dead end.”

In her 2018 memoir, Brave, McGowan revealed that Cantor, who signed and discovered Rage Against the Machine, had been “stabbed twenty-three times and almost decapitated” (via Us Weekly). Of the unsolved nature of his murder, she added, “I have been trying for years to remedy that.”

The Rose McGowan 'possible classic' that never happened

With Scream, Phantoms, Jawbreaker, Charmed, Grindhouse, and Machete, Rose McGowan has quite a few cult classics under her belt (Ben Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms). However, there is one more movie in her filmography that she believes would have been added to that list if it weren’t for studio interference: Monkeybone

The 2001 fantastical comedy, which co-starred Brendan Fraser, was savaged by critics and bombed at the box office, making only 10% of its $75 million production budget. “The movie would’ve been incredible (at least the underworld part) if the men at 20th Century Fox (the suits) hadn’t fired the director, a true artist, Henry Selick 1/2 the way through filming – a profoundly stupid move,” McGowan wrote on Instagram in 2016. “Selick went on to direct Coraline and had already made the classic, James and the Giant Peach, both tremendous pieces of work. The set design, costumes, prosthetics, actors, all at master level, at least in the underworld part of the film. What #FoxStudios turned this film into because of their fear and lack of artistic thinking was a travesty. They truly robbed us, the audience, of a possible classic.”

Rose McGowan's comments caused trouble at a film festival

Rose McGowan was flying high at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival, where her film, Fifty Dead Men Walking, premiered. A crime thriller based on Britain’s former undercover agent Martin McGartland’s infiltration of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), it was expected to ruffle some feathers.

However, people didn’t expect McGowan to do the ruffling. “My heart just broke for the cause,” she said at a news conference before the screening (via Belfast Telegraph). “I imagine, had I grown up in Belfast, I would 100 percent have been in the IRA. Violence is not to be played out daily and provide an answer to problems, but I understand it.”

Her comments did not go over well. Members of the UK’s Unionist Party called them “foolish and offensive,” and the filmmakers were forced to speak out. Producer Guy Collins, for example, stated “we were surprised and disappointed” by McGowan’s comments (via The Telegraph), and noted that her “opinions run entirely contrary to the stated aims of the film.”

Don't ask her to shave her eyebrows unless you can afford it

Rose McGowan played the evil witch Marique in the 2011 reboot of Conan the Barbarian, but in order for her to accept the role, the studio had to offer up some cash for a strange request. “The studio asked if I would shave my eyebrows and my hairline back to here, and I said, ‘Sure, if you give me $5 million,” McGown told Access. The actress joked that the makeup, which took five hours to apply each day, exaggerated her “10-head.”

Even though she was the villain in the sword and sorcery film, McGowan loved working alongside lead actor Jason Momoa. “He’s a doll,” she said. “I call him like, the sweetest barbarian there ever was.” Adding that he was “amazing” in the part, McGowan said it was as if the future Aquaman star “stepped out of the pages of the comic book” like “he was born to battle with a big sword.”

Rose McGowan's romance with Marilyn Manson was actually pretty boring

Rose McGowan and shock-rocker Marilyn Manson were one of the most unlikely couples in celebrity history and broke up in 2001 after a two-year engagement. “There is great love, but our lifestyle difference is, unfortunately, even greater,” McGowan stated at the time (via ABC News). However, she was a little scant on the details of their breakup until the release of her 2018 memoir, Brave. In the book, the actress writes that although she was “really in love with Manson,” she “grew exhausted” of “the lifestyle” (via People). According to Us Weekly, she also called her ex with the scary persona a “very misunderstood person”: In reality, the two were more prone to boring nights in than wild nights out, with Manson “painting watercolors of my Boston terriers while [McGowan] was ordering glassware from Martha Stewart’s online store.”

Although they are no longer together, McGowan doesn’t regret their love affair one bit. “It was a blast, and we were madly in love, and anybody else who thinks differently is wrong,” she wrote. “It was a pretty legendary relationship, not just in the media. It was a pretty legendary relationship behind the scenes, too. We had a whole lot of amazing.”

Rose McGowan regrets her affair with Robert Rodriguez

When director Robert Rodriguez cast Rose McGowan in his cult hit, Planet Terror (of the double feature Grindhouse), in 2006, the pair quickly became an item. The problem? Rodriguez was married to his wife of 16 years, producer Elizabeth Avellan, at the time. The former couple divorced a year later, and Rodriquez proposed to McGowan, but they eventually split in 2009.

In Brave, McGowan admitted her “profound regret” over the affair and acknowledged “the pain and heartache” they’d caused Rodriguez’s family (via Us Weekly). As detailed by Vanity Fair, McGowan had confided in the filmmaker about Harvey Weinstein during their relationship, but accused Rodriguez of committing a relationship-ending sin: “[selling] our film to my monster [Weinstein’s Miramax].” Per Us Weekly, she wrote, “I can’t tell you what it’s like to be sold into the hands of the man who had assaulted me and scarred me for life.”

While he denied this particular accusation, Rodriguez previously stated to Variety that he’d cast McGowan to spite Weinstein, but admitted that making the film blew up in his face: “It cost me … my family, a large dose of sanity, and for years I have grappled with the sobering idea that maybe I made a grave error in standing up at all [to Weinstein].” He added, “The reason I’m saying this is because it’s very clear to me now that when someone does what Harvey Weinstein did, the devastation goes far beyond predator and victim.”

Rose McGowan says her career was 'stolen'

The #MeToo movement emerged in 2017 after both The New York Times and The New Yorker published bombshell exposés that shined a spotlight on the many allegations of rape and sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein. These articles earned Pulitzer prizes for their writers, including Ronan Farrow, and started a national reckoning of abusive powerful men.

Meanwhile, Rose McGowan was struggling. “I’ve been called one of the first to speak out [on the record about Weinstein]. No. I was the first. I called the New York Times. I blew it wide open, not them,” she told The Guardian in 2019. “They won the Pulitzer and I’m the one hard-up for money. It’s disgusting. I was kind of grossed out by how much they enjoyed being lauded.” McGowan went on to say that her “career was stolen,” but also showed solidarity with all the other women who were allegedly blacklisted for refusing Weinstein. “We all got stolen,” she said of Ashley Judd, Annabella Sciorra, and Mira Sorvino. “And we were all very good at our jobs. That’s the other crime in all this.”

Later that year, McGowan opened up about her lack of job offers while sharing a tweet from Eva Longoria, which promoted a Time’s Up petition to show support for the women who may have to testify against Weinstein: “I have been unemployed for almost five years, ever since I started pushing truth & fighting the lies.”

Rose McGowan had a few words for Hillary Clinton

Ronan Farrow’s tireless investigative reporting helped take down Harvey Weinstein, so Catch and Kill was destined to be a bestseller. When excerpts from his October 2019 book were released, we learned that Weinstein reportedly “attempted to leverage his long-term relationship with Hillary Clinton to pressure Farrow” to back off from his investigation (via The Hollywood Reporter). Farrow wrote that when he attempted to score an interview with the former presidential candidate, her publicist, Nick Merrill, replied that the story was “a concern for us.” According to Federal Election Commission filings obtained by the New York Post, Clinton reportedly received more campaign contributions from Weinstein that any other Democrat.

“It was a personal moment of gut punch to me,” Farrow told BuzzFeed News. “People that I thought would support that kind of reporting were actually very leery of it.” Meanwhile, McGowan quickly took to Twitter to pounce. “I knew that Hillary Clinton’s people were protecting the Monster,” she tweeted. “I can’t believe I used to support her. I guess predators are her style.” McGowan added, “Hillary Clinton, did you have any concern for your husband’s victims? And what about HW victims? No? Didn’t think so.”

When Clinton was asked about her relationship with the disgraced movie mogul during a January 2020 interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote her documentary, she replied in part, “How could we have known?”

Rose McGowan even had beef with Natalie Portman

Hillary Clinton wasn’t the only target of Rose McGowan’s ire, as she routinely goes in on other celebrities, as well. During the 2020 Academy Awards, Natalie Portman wore a black cape with the names of several female directors she believed were robbed of a best director nomination. Standard protest stuff, right? McGowan didn’t think so. In a lengthy Facebook post, she called Portman’s “type of activism deeply offensive,” because Portman herself had only worked with two female directors in her career and runs a production company that has yet to hire a woman director besides, well, Portman.

“The kind of protest that gets rave reviews from the mainstream media for its bravery,” McGowan wrote. “Brave? No, not by a long shot. More like an actress acting the part of someone who cares. As so many of them do.” McGowan went on to claim Portman was just paying “lip service” to the problem without any action, writing, “Fake support of other women is the problem.”

This caught Portman’s attention, who released a statement to People. “It is inaccurate to call me ‘brave’ for wearing a garment with women’s names on it,” she stated. “Brave is a term I more strongly associate with actions like those of the women who have been testifying against Harvey Weinstein the last few weeks, under incredible pressure.”

Wait, what is Rose McGowan's political affiliation?

“I’m a registered Republican in California,” Rose McGowan wrote in a since-deleted tweet in early January 2020 (via Pink News). “I loathe the Clintons. I hate Trump. I will not vote Republican, but I cannot vote Democrat. I’d rather know what evil I’m getting, so I’ll go Republican. This is about WWIII, so none of that s**t matters anyway.”

As one might expect, the actress got immediate push back, which perhaps led to her next now-deleted tweet. “I will never vote Republican. I want the Democrats to win because we are less likely to die,” McGowan wrote, before calling herself “a conscientious objector” of the United States’ “policies, lies, corruption, nationalism, racism, and deep misogyny.” She added, “It is our right and duty as citizens to dissent.”

A month later, McGowan appeared on Evan Ross Katz’s podcast, Shut Up Evan, and revealed that she only pretended to switch political parties to win a $200 bet after her brother dared her to be a Republican for three months (via People). McGowan admitted, “Granted, late-night ideas aren’t always the best.”

Rose McGowan's ready for a career change

We’re used to seeing Rose McGowan’s talents onscreen, but now she’s ready to take those talents behind the camera. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the 2019 Odessa Film Festival, McGowan discussed two feature films she plans to direct.

This first was the animated Pomerania, the story about a dog who becomes a queen and goes to war with the citizens of Muttlandia. McGowan stated, “It’s all about race, breed, classism — and it’s very funny.” After that would come the psychological horror film, Sleepwalk. “It’s a very haunting story about a young girl who sleepwalks a lot, and she blurs what is reality and what is false,” McGowan explained. “It’s about how we all do that in our own lives.”

However, McGowan hinted that she chose this new career path out of necessity, claiming that she wasn’t being offered any roles after speaking out against Harvey Weinstein. “People in Hollywood have not been brave enough to step up for me as I stepped up for them,” she explained. “Because I helped to clean out the system and they haven’t been brave in return. So, I do miss performing but I feel like acting is in the past, mostly because of the lack of support that I’ve gotten.”

Rose McGowan's reaction to Harvey Weinstein's conviction

On Feb. 24, 2020, Harvey Weinstein “was found guilty of criminal sexual assault and of rape in the third degree but was acquitted of the more serious charges of predatory sexual assault and of rape in the first degree” during a jury trial in New York, according to ABC News.

A day later, Rose McGowan was among the many celebs who reacted to the news, when she sat down with Ronan Farrow of The New Yorker to describe her thoughts on the justice she’d waited over 20 years to see. “Well, it’s another day in the twilight zone,” she said, adding, “I haven’t exhaled in so long.” When asked how she felt when she learned of Weinstein’s conviction, McGowan replied: “Honestly, joy. And then I thought, I wonder if he’s gonna hire a hitman to kill me? That was my other thought. And then I thought, Should I have coffee this morning?”

McGowan appeared on the Shut Up Evan podcast that same day, where she said she wouldn’t feel closure until Weinstein had died. “I feel like he and I are strapped in this battle together until one of us is dead. That’s how it goes,” she explained (via Yahoo! Entertainment), adding, “It’s a really disgusting feeling. I just would love to be able to be like other people and live my life. That would be really nice, you know?”

The truth about DJ Stephen tWitch Boss’s wife

For fans of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss isn’t just an entertainer — he’s part of the family. Before joining the talk show in 2014, tWitch came in second place on the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance. While he didn’t end up snagging the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer,” he did manage to win the hearts of viewers across the nation.

These days, he’s still winning over America thanks to his gig on DeGeneres’ show. While he usually flies solo, sometimes his wife, Allison Holker, and their children will join him on-air. There have even been times on the show when tWitch and Holker have shared the spotlight for a dance number. While it’s undeniable that tWitch is a mega-talented dancer, Holker can definitely hold her own on the dance floor. That’s because, like her husband, the 32-year-old is a very accomplished dancer.

Over the years, Holker has amassed an impressive résumé. After being enrolled in her first dance class at the age of nine, Holker kickstarted her professional career in 2002 when she performed alongside Earth, Wind and Fire during the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics (via Dance Spirit). Holker’s past gigs also include dancing credits in Disney’s High School Musical and High School Musical 2, as well as a spot on Demi Lovato’s 2011 tour as one of her backup dancers (via Dance Informa).

While Holker’s has clearly landed some pretty big gigs, one competition truly gave the dancer her big break.

Allison Holker danced her way into the Top 8 on "So You Think You Can Dance"

After winning the title of National Senior Outstanding Dancer at the New York City Dance Alliance in 2005, Allison Holker went on to land a spot as a contestant on the second season of FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance in 2006. On the show, she showcased her solo contemporary dance talents. Although Holker was eliminated during Week 7 — only making it to the Top 8 — she has been asked to return to the show as an “all-star” multiple times, assisting in mentoring a new generation of dancers. Despite the fact that her time on the show was cut short, SYTYCD ultimately taught Holker the value of hard work and, most importantly, to answer the door when opportunity comes knocking.

“Everyone works so hard that I feel like when you work really hard, you meet fate and luck at the same time. And magic happens,” Holker told Channel Guide. “I was lucky enough to have the right timing, and I’ve always been willing to accept a challenge. That’s what makes my work and my career so exciting. Because even if I throw myself into something that people think is crazy, I’m willing to put myself on the line and try to succeed because I believe in myself.”

That’s why when the producers of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars plucked Holker from the SYTYCD line-up, she was overjoyed to join the show’s professional team.

Allison Holker's fancy footwork helped launch her "Dancing with the Stars" career

Despite her limited experience as a teacher of traditional ballroom styles, Holker joined the DWTS cast in 2014 as one of 12 professional dancers for the competition’s 19th season. Producers paired Holker with Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett, but the duo was eliminated during Week 6, landing them in ninth place. Regardless, Holker was thrilled to showcase her talent and choreography with such a widespread audience.

“When the show first gave me that call, I had never even considered even being a pro on Dancing With the Stars,” Holker told Channel Guide. “I had never even thought that was an option for me. So when they called me asking my interest, I was like “Oooh, well sure, that could be cool.” And literally two days later, they were like, “Alright, let’s do it.” I couldn’t believe it! I said, “This is real life right now. I’m going to be a pro on DWTS!!” I can’t even explain the feeling because it was so overwhelming, but it was great.”

Holker went on to reach runner-up status with R5 singer and actor Riker Lynch during the show’s 20th season. She has also been partnered with singers Andy Grammer (above) and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, but the artists only ascended to seventh and eleventh place, respectively, during their individual seasons.

Allison Holker's relationship with DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss almost never left the dance floor

According to Dance Spirit, Allison Holker initially met tWitch through SYTYCD cast member Ivan Koumaev. However, countless missed signals almost sabotaged their love story.

“I didn’t just make one move—I made, like, 10 moves and he wasn’t seeing them, so I had to put myself out there even more,” Holker told Dance Spirit. “From the first week of SYTYCD as All-Stars, I thought he was the cutest guy ever. His personality was so fun.”

Even though Holker was totally into tWitch, the two didn’t interact much outside of rehearsals — until one fateful night. “The All-Stars went to the Step Up 3D premiere, but Stephen went separately because he was in the movie,” Holker told the outlet. “I looked down the red carpet and saw him standing there in this nice gray suit and glasses—he looked so hot. When he walked up to say hi, I got embarrassed and hid behind [SYTYCD alum] Ade!”

She continued, “Then, at the party [following the premiere], I met his mother and brother and even danced with him a little bit. I was geeking out. That was the first night we were out together at the same place. So I finally made my move, and he asked for my number.” And the rest is history. Holker and tWitch tied the knot in 2013, and are now the parents of Weslie, Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, son Maddox, and daughter Zaia.
