Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer finally pull the plug on their dance school – two years after their marriage split – The Sun

THEY gave it every cha-cha chance they could but Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer have pulled the plug on their joint dance school.

The couple, who married in 2015 and split two years ago, worked together for four years on Strictly. They started the business in 2016.

However, insiders confirmed they had decided to dissolve the business, with papers filed yesterday to legally terminate Kevin & Karen Dance School.

An insider said: “Karen and Kevin always tried to stay amicable following the breakdown of their marriage but it hasn’t always been easy.

“The dance school in London was something they had built together but as time went on they felt they couldn’t continue.

“Kevin stepped back from the business last summer and left Karen in charge.

"But having the school in both their names started to feel strange and they decided it was best to have a fresh start.

"Both are moving on with their current partners and have their own new ventures they want to work on.”

GRANTCHESTER’s  Tom Brittney and Sherlock’s Amanda Abbington will lead the cast in Make Me Famous, a BBC Three drama written by DJ Reggie Yates about the impact of being on reality TV.

Queen Maggie

SHE was the only woman who came close to competing with The Queen  – and in the new series of The Crown Margaret Thatcher briefly eclipses her.

The creators of the royal drama will devote an entire episode to exploring Britain’s first female Prime Minister when the Netflix show returns this autumn.

It’s an honour The Crown has only previously bestowed on Winston Churchill.

A TV insider said: “It’s an acknowledgement of the fact that the show’s creators consider her to be one of only two giants in modern British politics.

“But it’s also telling that they want to strip away her veneer as The Iron Lady.”

Writer Peter Morgan, whose partner Gillian Anderson will play Maggie in the drama, will show her vulnerable side during the 1982 disappearance of her son Mark, played by Freddie Fox.

OFCOM received eight complaints from viewers following Monday night’s knife crime scenes in Coronation Street.

David Platt, played by Jack P Shepherd, was attacked by thugs on the ITV soap after he deliberately antagonised them.

Bertie's new Brand

DOCTOR Foster’s Bertie Carvel is unrecognisable in a long wig in his role in new ITV show The Sister.

He is best known as sleazy Simon Foster in the 2015 BBC favourite.

The Sister also stars Russell Tovey as Nathan, who hides a dark secret until Bob – Bertie – turns up on his doorstep.

I’m not sure the Russell Brand look suits him.
