THEY gave it every cha-cha chance they could but Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer have pulled the plug on their joint dance school.
The couple, who married in 2015 and split two years ago, worked together for four years on Strictly. They started the business in 2016.
However, insiders confirmed they had decided to dissolve the business, with papers filed yesterday to legally terminate Kevin & Karen Dance School.
An insider said: “Karen and Kevin always tried to stay amicable following the breakdown of their marriage but it hasn’t always been easy.
“The dance school in London was something they had built together but as time went on they felt they couldn’t continue.
“Kevin stepped back from the business last summer and left Karen in charge.
"But having the school in both their names started to feel strange and they decided it was best to have a fresh start.
"Both are moving on with their current partners and have their own new ventures they want to work on.”

“But it’s also telling that they want to strip away her veneer as The Iron Lady.”

Bertie's new Brand
DOCTOR Foster’s Bertie Carvel is unrecognisable in a long wig in his role in new ITV show The Sister.
He is best known as sleazy Simon Foster in the 2015 BBC favourite.
The Sister also stars Russell Tovey as Nathan, who hides a dark secret until Bob – Bertie – turns up on his doorstep.
I’m not sure the Russell Brand look suits him.
